Watch it again, it was a blow thrown by someone who was boxed into a corner.

Like a snake when boxed into a corner, it has no choice but to snap with all its strength, that was what Marquez did and it paid him.

Letting your opponent look like he has the advantage is the general idea of playing possum. Its similar to rope-a-dope, where you let your opponent get you on the ropes and you let him wail on you, with shots that look good, but really arent that strong. Hopefully he gets overconfident, swings wide and leaves his head exposed for a good uppercut.

I think Pacman said himself that he was getting overconfident. He was entirely exposed after that miss.
