ve been here and
we have kept these people
waiting for one hour and
incidentally the Inspector General
of Police is not here.
“The Senate under the leadership
of the Senate President issued a
warrant of arrest and directed
the IGP to present and compel
Maina’s appearance before this
committee by 12 O’clock today.
“We have been waiting here for
more than one hour and we
have not seen him.
“Today we are not going to
waste your time and since we
have promised we want to make
sure we give him fair hearing.
“After due consultation with
members of this committee, we
have decided to adjourn this
sitting indefinitely.”
The Co- Chairman of the
committee, Senator Kabiru Gaya,
also expressed frustration.
Gaya said, “I have information
from the police that Maina is at
the gate addressing his
supporters instead of coming
here.
“We wanted him to be here. So
the committee will decide what
to do.
“One thing is that we have been
honest and sincere. We want to
put it on record. God knows we
have tried. We leave him to God.”

This maina guy is such a rogue, watched him on ait this evening and was so pissed. He said his supporters prevented him from gaining access. The president might just have to step in. It is a really sad situation.

"......we leave him to GOD".

How can they adjourn the sitting indefinitely and leave him to GOD. Are these senators serious? Perhaps the guy must have "settled" them. N195billion is not to be left unaccounted for. It is more than the budget for some states in Nigeria.

The President of this country is really taking a lot of things for granted. I hope he does not become a spectator in his own government. I pray for him.

Which God/god are they leaving Maina to? The God/god of justice or injustice? angry angry

It is only in Nigeria that leaders will leave their constitutional powers and functions to God/god. No other nation will do this. Me feels water has passed under the bridge. I mean, money must have changed hands.

By the way, which supporters are they talking about? Hired thugs or people in their correct senses? It is high time Police are given the permission to shoot-at-sight any I-D-I-O-T in the name of supporter, supporting criminals in the society. Nigeria is gradually turning fighting corruption to a mere joke by allowing such practices.

If this Maina of a crook is allowed to go scotfree, then, I will conclude that Nigeria is finished. So sad. sad
