Interpol Declares Maina Wanted by Islie: 10:34am On Feb 02, 2016
The International Police Organisation (INTERPOL) has issued world-wide red alert on former chairman of the Pension Reform Task Team, Abdulrasheed Maina.

Daily Trust gathered that the notice was based on a request from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) which had on November 18, 2015 written to the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, seeking his assistance “to issue an INTERPOL Red Alert” on Maina, who had been charged to the Federal High Court on July 10, 2015.

In a response to the anti-graft agency’s request, Olushola Subair, Commissioner of Police, INTERPOL, in a letter dated 11thJanuary, 2016 and addressed to the Chairman, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, informed the agency that its request had been processed and a notice duly issued by the INTERPOL, Daily Trust gathered.

In its response, Interpol noted that: “Be informed that the Bureau has taken necessary action on the wanted fugitive as requested with INTERPOL General Secretariat, Lyon, France. He has been published on the INTERPOL Red Notice accordingly.”

Good.

Interpol should help us declare LAMORDE wanted too for diverting over a trillion naira recovered from corruption related loots.

That money is badly needed for our economy now except EFCC is trying to protect one of its own.

Magu and Buhari should do the needful asap.

Way to go! Another yam eater under GEJ will soon be brought to justice. Good news always coming from the ongoing war against corruption. Next, I expect Obanikoro to also be declared wanted by interpol, he has so many questions to answer about the Ekiti election. Other yam eaters should also get ready, Buhari is coming after you soon.

PMB teaching GEJ how to bring a wanted felon to book. Supporting PMB is the natural course for any sensible Nigerian who wishes his country well

Ok

Where is the "wanted fugitive"?

"A letter written on 18 November and replied on 11 January 2016." I see efficiency at its lowest levels.

INTERPOL'S Red Alert : Is to seek the location and arrest of wanted persons with a view to extradition or similar lawful action.

Some people who hate the North will still come out to complain on behalf of Abdulrasheed Maina.

Anyway, Buhari no even get their time.

The avalanche of anti-corruption will consume anyone who dares to stand in its path.
