I'll recommend College Algebra by Frisk and Hughes if you're a newbie to the topic and Engineering Mathematics by K.A Stroud if you've been introduced to the topic but need a little extra push.

The product of a 2 x 2 and 3 x 3 matrix will be an inconsistent system, that is, the product doesn't exist because the number of columns in the first system is not equal to the number of rows in the second system.

For a product AB of two matrices to exist, the number of columns of A must equal the number of rows of B. If the product exist, it will have as many rows as A and as many columns as B.‎

Hope this helps.‎

same question I posted last month but I can tel u DAT I'm already a testimony
just as they have said, maths is like climbing the staircase.u don't miss any of the steps
all is possible with determination,I hated math too much in high school that I had to drop further maths in ss2.i thougt noting will connect me to maths agn Bt math turns out to be my life partner.one thing u must understand is that no one was born as a math guru,u only decide to ne and u know what dat means.
start up somewhere, even if it means to go back to ur ss1 work which I did.
settle ur scores with indices Coz he will always come calling
try to practice as much as u can.try,to appreciate ur progress n ask questions are u dnt understand.
set a goal for urself,Mk friends with math guys, attend a private math class if u can n I tell u,in no long time,u wil b advising people on how to bcum a math guru
best wishes in studing the subject of THINKERS
tanks a lot. i appreciate this.

Which maths textbook is most recommended for people still growing in
1)maths
2)f/maths
for Olevel
Pure mathematics by Bundey
Additional Mathematics by Godman

Project mathematics 1-3(dis one is very elementary bt i dont think its in pdf format aspa ritten by a nigerian)

Lastly Engineering mathematics(green cover) still d best elementary for A-levels

. It is best you go for the schaums outline series on linear algebra because it gives a blow-by-blow account of each topic. All topics are self I explanatory. This book is a guide to d solid foundation that can be of help in probably all areas of maths.

At 6:00 am, a freight train passes through Sagebrush Junction heading west at 40 miles per hour. At 8:00 am, a passenger train passes through the junction heading south at 60 miles per hour. At what time of the day, correct to the nearest minute, will the two trains be 180 miles apart?

Two airplane A &B left the same airport 'A left at 9am flyin due east n B left at 9:10am flyin due north.
A's speed is 250km/h and B's speed is 180km/h.
how far are they frm each other at 10?

at a particular time t ta consdering tha the vo'ociyis the cgage doen not chang thoughou thjouney the train moving at 40miles/hr would have a distance of 40(t-6). AT the same time t the train moving with velocity 60miles/hr would have moved a distance of 60(t-cool. the south and west are at angle of 90 degrees, the hyponuse of that right angled triangle would be 180 miles.
(40(t-6))^2+(60(t-cool)^2=180 solve for t

Prove that n(n 1)(n 2) is a multiple of 6 for all positive integer

For n = 1
1(1+1)(1+2) = 6
For n = 2
2(2+1)(2+2) = 24

Assuming n(n+1)(n+2) is a multiple of 6. For induction, for n+1

(n+1)(n+2)(n+3)

n(n+1)(n+2) + 3(n+1)(n+2) ................... (i)

This is divisible by 6
Note that (n+1)(n+2) is always divisble by 2 (even).
Therefore 3(n+1)(n+2) is always divisible by 6 for n € Q+

Therefore equation (i) is always divisible by 6 for n € Q+

Therefore n(n+1)(n+2) is a multiple of 6 for all positive integers.

Using Mathematical Induction Principle, prove that n4 + 4n2 + 11 is a multiple of 16 for all odd positive integers.

For n = 1
(1)4 + 4*(1)2 + 11 = 16

For n = 3
(3)4 + 4*(3)2 + 11 = 128

Assuming n4 + 4n2 + 11 is a multiple of 16. For induction, we use n+2

(n+2)4 + 4(n+2)2 + 11 ...............................(i)

Expanding

n4 + 8n3 + 24n2 + 32n +16 + 4n2 + 16n + 16 + 11

n4 + 4n2 + 11 + 8n3 + 24n2 + 48n + 32

n4 + 4n2 + 11 + 8(n3 + 3n2 + 6n + 4)

n4 + 4n2 + 11 + 8(n+1)(n2 + 2n + 4)

Now consider 8(n+1)(n2 + 2n + 4)
Since n is odd, (n+1) is always a multiple of 2 (even)

Therefore 8(n+1) is a multiple of 16.

Therefore 8(n+1)(n2 + 2n + 4) is a multiple of 16.

Therefore equation (i) is divisible by 16 for all odd positive integers.

Therefore, n4 + 4n2 + 11 is a multiple of 16 for all odd positive integers

Gracias,

Good Morning Nigeria.

1. Use the principle of mathematical induction to show that 1/ (4 x 12 - 1) + 1 / (4 x 22 - 1) +...+ 1 / (4 x n2 - 1) = n / (2n +1).
2. Prove by mathematical induction that 1 x 20 + 2 x 21 + 3 x 22 +...+ n x 2n-1 = 1 + (n - 1)2n.

1. Use the principle of mathematical induction to show that the arithmetic mean is always greater than or equal to the geometric mean.
2. Prove that (3 + square root5)n + (3 - square root5)n is an even integer for all natural numbers n using the principle of mathematical Induction.
3. Use the principle of Mathematical Induction to Prove that 2002n +2 + 20032n + 1 is divisible by 4005.
4. Prove by Mathematical Induction that 1/2 + cosx + . . . + cos(n - 1)x = sinx/2(2n - 1)/2sinx/2
