umh it depends eh, when spoken i prefer my own Attie and Baoule
When sung i like Baoule, Bhete, Agni, Krumen, Ebrie and Malinke (I love manding music, when it's well done it's epic)
Re: The Kru People Of Liberia And Cote D'ivoire by Nobody: 8:30pm On May 26, 2013
Have u listen to Krumen music before, there is a singer when she sings it sounds so sooooft, she sings nice
Also the We/Guere singer i posted in the previous page, Ruth Tondey, is nice, i love her, she had a nice voice when she was alive, except her i don't know a lot of singers from her ethnic group ( except Ade-Liz and Anita la go ivoirienne)

Absolutely, there are languages when spoken, sound totally different from when they are sung, i don't know why, i think the style of music also matters, because different style from the same language can make them sound different as well

Seems like a lot of Ivo groups(Akan exclude) have adopted an African muslim/sahelian dress code..do you have a big muslim population right? I know this is not the topic but are your muslim kind of radical/extremists like in Nigeria or they are laid back....do they have Sharia in their regions?

ummh did u get this impression from this thread? or the Mande one? most of the time, it is Northern Mandes (Malinkes, Dioulas) who wear sahelian type of clothes, the remaining have been mostly influenced by Akan styles
about 40% of the population is muslim (nationals and non nationals included)
Re: The Kru People Of Liberia And Cote D'ivoire by Nobody: 10:21pm On May 31, 2013
From all the ivo threads, im not very surprised tho, you are encircled by muslim dominated nations. And you didn't answer my other question..40% Muslim shocked shocked jeez

neither muslims or christians there are extremists, we do everything together, even praying, u ll see muslims that go to christian schools for example and they don't mind, or some christians who go to mosques with their friends during tabaski for example, I ll try to find some vids to show u what i mean
things that mostly oppose people there are their ethnic and politic affiliations
