I weep for the foolishness of our govt. who says the farmers don't have phones already?

Talk of misplaced priorities or rather, a not so smart avenue to illegally enrich empower a party faithful with an inflated contract. May God deliver us from a govt of idiots undecided

They can't even device intelligent means to siphon money. GEJ and his men are brain damaged in every way. Pathetic few people making decisions for millions of people. Sad!

The Federal Government is to procure 10 million telephone handsets worth about N60 billion from China and the US for free distribution to rural farmers across the country.
hmmmmmmmm i wander what we are upto in this country
Questions:
•Are they buying blackberry porsche for these farmers?
•Are they going to pre-load the Presidents number in all the phones? As the reason for the purchase is because they want the farmers to have direct contact with the Government.
•Who did the calculation and came up with 10 million farmers? Was Obasanjo counted as well?
•Even @ N6,000 per phone, will the farmer plant the phones to grow more phones?
•If they're buying the phones in bulk, doesn't it attract a large volume of discount?
•Did the farmers complain that their problem is a mobile phone?

Possible facts:
•Maybe Obama will distribute the phones himself.
•Maybe the phones have inbuilt shovel and fertilizer in them.
•Maybe the phones have inbuilt tractors

I just hope all the farmers won't join 2Go and start posting "weather for 2" when it's raining instead of planting yams.

I understand that the budget for the phones is for 60 Billion Naira. You can be sure that this is part of the borrowing spree of the PDP embezzling government. We and our children will pay this many times over. It is your future that is being mortgaged in this very sinister " agricultural e- development Project".

The All Farmers Assocition of Nigeria ( AFAN) is holding it's AGM and National elections in Abuja on the 17 th Jan 2013. delegates will be going to Abuja from the 36 states and FCT.

This is a chance for anti- corruption civil society organization to lobby the farmers and to find out what exactly farmers want from government and if mobile hand sets are the priority.
