The 12th annual No Pants Subway Ride Day went off without a hitch on Sunday.

From Sweden to New York City thousands of riders took part -- many showing off a remarkable lack of quality undergarments.

The event began in New York -- though some joined in cities throughout the world -- and is coordinated by a group called Improv Everywhere, which describes itself as a "prank collective that causes scenes of chaos and joy in public places."

According to Improv Everywhere: "The idea behind No Pants is simple: random passengers board a subway car at separate stops in the middle of winter without pants. The participants do not behave as if they know each other, and they all wear winter coats, hats, scarves and gloves. The only unusual thing is their lack of pants."

Also unusual: the various types of underwear on display, judging by the photos we found.

it is an annual event just like the one in Benin..., in this situation you have to show your under pant on the subway,you may be politely ask to do it for the fun of it.
