Achebe was right afterall: he said in his book, "There was a country" that the problem of the Igbo nation is that most of them are not humble; they try to assume what is not theirs, try to assume honor that is not theirs.
What happened in the weekend is an example of that; Okoracha calling Obasanjo a "coleague"; see the reward of an unwise man with mouth diarrhea, a man who does not give honor to whom honor is due....he was disgraced in Abeoukuta like a class clown. The Igbo nation should blame him for throwing away their chance of seeing the Aso Rock in 2015 or the nearest future.

You are worst than HIV virus. I am so sorry for your neighbors. What have we Nigerians achieved by denying IGBOS aso rock? You've shown and proved ACHEBE right that we are far from being One.

That has been our major problem here in Nigeria, we celebrate thieves and ritualists as long as they belong to our tribe forgetting that directly or indirectly, we are going to answer for every of our actions and utterances.

Hold up.

Slow down.

Okorocha is JUST another apku politician. Blame his mess on him, not on OBJ, who is just as messy.

@OP: Obj was reported to have made the statement in relation to Okorocha's failed attempt to contest for the Presidency...

I don't see how that makes Rochas a failure and its a wrong analogy to use in trying to evaluate the verity (or lack of) of Achebe's assertion about Igbos...
