Prole means Proletariat. If you are a government student, I think you will understand it better and appreciate the Novel. The Proles are the exploited class in the form of Socialism practised in that Novel.

In the streets
Unpleasant sights are not uncommon
Joblessness mixed with poverty and hunger

Freedom is on the loose
And everywhere
Grumbling is the order of the day
Mere anarchy is about to be loosed
The aftermath of failed representatives
Is begging for attention
Alas!
Revolution!
The table is turning
Turning against the Cows of Belthasar
Anarchy is crying to be let loose
And the wickedness of man is crying for expression
War!
The uniform boys are at it again
God!
Another suspension of the Constitution?

Re: English Language And Literature Online Tutorial For Jamb by saleemema(m): 10:04am On Mar 23, 2013
Luxurious life living
Does not breed satisfaction
It won't make contentment your watch-word rather
Otherwise you will always want more
But shall never be satisfied
More haste less speed
The desire to acquire more wealth
More fame and more popularity
Takes the fore-front
Forgetting the fact
That life is fleeting fast
Irrespective of your status
It takes the world a day
To mourn and grief
Over your demise
For life goes on
With or without you
You are just a dot
And once you are erased
That's the end of it forever
These are the harsh realities of life
That dawn on us in our grey-days
