im in the middle of a project development and i need to generate pin code for scratch cards that users would need to logon.

i need a way of generating these and dont no where to look, thanks

For starters, in lieu of code that may already be out there and much better than this, you can use whatever language you are coding in to generate a set of random numbers. Just remember that the longer the number, the harder it is, potentially, to crack. This is where those lessons in probability come in

If you have a 3-number pin. It will have only 1000 (10 * 10 * 10) combinations. Any bored person wouldn't mind entering 1000 numbers to see which will be accepted. Not to mention, the numbers wouldn't be too random. But choose a 10-number pin and you are talking another story. Hopefully you see where I am going with this.

dude, come up with your own randomly generated sequence with one of the digits as a checksum that validates the rest.
that way, you and only you will knw the way it works. ._{until someone analyzes it and posts the hack online}

wen we have a pool of nine hundred and ninety nine million, nine hundred and ninety nine thousand, nine hundred and ninety nine possibilities. . . a psuedo-random number generator has a lot to play with before thinking of repeating values

I have a short video I recorded with my phone while generating the last Pin for scratch cards I did for National Youth Council of Ogoni people Database, in PH. The needed 500 pieces but within 2 seconds it generated up to 800 before I stopped it.
It runs on its own once I launch it and start generating until I stop it
