Yes, you've got to wait. You can't choose when you don't know the required cut-off point for a particular course. And the overall of the CBT is 100%. Hope that answered your question.

To calculate ur total score, divide ur jamb score by 8, and ur cbt by 2, add their result=ur total score, now check if you are up to the cut-off mark hence go to their portal and apply for change of course,,,
For example, someone with 160 in jamb score and 50 in cbt would end up with total score of 160/8 + 50/2 = 20+25 =45 (total score) this we now be compare with his choosen course cut of mark.
