alexy147: Moral of the lesson: beautiful ones are not yet born..by next 10yrs from today,a lot of changes will be observed too.. Another lesson. Things that are beautiful today started out plain, unsophisticated, unreliable and unattractive. But by patronage and diligence on the part of those entrepreneurs they have become great. Same with KIA, LG, Toyota, etc. The question now is. How do we view our own products, people and processes. No global brand ever succeeded without leading local patronage. Hollywood will always sit more b.ums in US cinemas than anywhere else. |

saxywale: only God knew what happened to Alta vista. My first search engine. Took a while for me to switch to the emerging google. The catch phrase 'don't be evil' gave me the creeps with rumours then they were some clandestine US operation to tag every person on earth. |

Javanian: One day, someone will write about how ancient the Web looked back in 2013 and marvel at how backwards we were . I lost my pc first laptop in 1997 when internet first came to Nigeria. Then we were using compuserve with landline hunting line. Wow, can you imagine then and now? Altavista was my best site, then yahoo was a search engine, no google, no bing. Thanks for bringing d memory back. |

AltaVista was my preferred search engine then. Even though yahoo hosted my first email address, the one i later created on hotmail became really 'hot' and busy. |
