You are really "sly" in your words. So, if a contractor does a job for a company in which you are a CEO or for you as a person, you will want to wait until your staff or friends, passers-by and your customers point out the shoddy job they have done for you right? Yet you will expect those people to see you as a serious-minded, competent and a person of honour and respect you want to be called? Stop that hypocrisy my friend!
