stagger: Not surprised that it is a Kano man spearheading this attempt to take us back to the stone age. How many trees have to keep getting cut down to produce paper for more than 300,000 JAMB candidates a year?

The Northern oligarchy are the problem of this country. They never want progress and they keep wanting to send us back. It is 44 years since the Americans went to the moon, and yet we are still conducting paper based testing for an exam with complaints of mass cheating. What will it take for us to purge this country of these enemies of progress? angry angry angry angry
Tripe and rubbish. We are talking about feasibility here. Nobody said they shouldnt do that but let them have the facility first or do you want a situation where many will not see their results.

Suspending it is not a right move to my own personal option. But one should be give an option to choose whatever kind of test he or she wants to do. Not by force in 2015. Well, let's see JAMB can do it right in 2013 but can they? Only God knows what going to happen as they are have already register 4,000 candidates already. Dr. Babs of http://www.edubabs.com

This is a failed system being instigated and forced on students by Jamb.
If this must take effect how have they gone to sensitize the prospective students and how do they think students will joke with their future with a computer system which is being used as testing mode?

Now all paper and pencil test centers are already closed.
Anyway we go dey , dey watch them.

I don't think you need five million computer systems before you can do the E-testing as the exams can be spread over a period with multiple sessions per day.

You are indeed right. It is possible for the children to sit for different sessions of the exams. They can use the CBT centres of universities also. It is also an opportunity to fund higher institutions and secondary schools. They can fund the schools to have large centres that can be used by JAMB even if JAMB will need to pay rent. But JAMB should have informed the public more and make the process as transparent as much as possible. It is wrong however to cancel outright.

Students writing JAMB and Post-UME that will be CBT based can now practice freely available questions online in a number of sites like pass1time.com and other sites out there. The government should allow innovations to grow. Simply making a right policy will create job for people without the government having to pay any salary. Reps should think of other sides before banning/cancelling or doing any thing.

Those who argue that the students are not ripe for a CBT based exams are not totally right because these same students will be made to do Post-UME and many schools use CBT now. If you have a child preparing for JAMB and post-UME please refer them to the online sites like pass1time.com and passjamb.

Good luck with your exams

Infact the age group 18-24 who take JAMB are the most active internet users, if they can use the internet for all sorts whats stops JAMB CBT exams? which was even optional. Anyways by 2015 they ll ve to adopt it.
