ROSSIKE: No you shut your dirty mouth and insist on factual reporting and accuracy before calling anyone out. You demand perfection when you yourself are peddling imperfection, inaccurate, smear reporting, and lies. And the base did not have "one plane". That is another lie from the pits of hell from where you came.

CROWÉ: I am not going to ask why the air crafts have a camouflage finish on them, its not like it can help them in the sky .

The camo pant job helps hide parked military aircraft on the ground from attacking enemy jets above, and it also helps conceal aircraft that are in flight, from enemy jets flying above them. The undersides of the planes are generally white or light blue, so that they blend with the sky when seen from below.

That'll be ten dollars for the free information.

I am not going to insult you or ask you to go to hell, that's for the almighty to decide..
'One plane' in this instance is the one servicable plane as reported in this article.
Goverment and a single human are not to be used in comparison..
We know that noting is perfect, we can only come close to. Government is an institution, that is suppose to consist of the best minds available so as to come close to this perfection. A government were the major airforce base in that part of the country where the pilots are supposedly 'trained' has only one plane and your there making exuses for them??

How can aiforce of giants of africa be using fighter jets produced in the 1970s?? (Alpha jet)

nigeria air force in makurdi have over 10 F7 jets...with time dey might upgrade...
Re: NAF Has Only One Serviceable Aircraft For Training’ by ocelot2006(m): 6:25pm On Feb 08, 2013
The Alpha jets are still still in service. 4 are currently deployed to Mali for combat. The rest are either at 99 Weap Train School Kianji (our Topgun school) or Port Harcourt.

The L-36 are still in servcie . I believe they are are stationed at Tactical Air Command Makurdi. Just like the F-7NI fighters.

The Mig-21s have been retired from servcie.

The Sepecate Jaguars have also been withdrawn from service and are currently in storage. They never came with spares or any armament, no thanks to the Brits who sold it to us during Shagari's era.

Last time I heard, the MB339As were sent out for upgrades and aren't back yet

That said, the aircraftin question isn't the one you just mentioned, but rather aicrafts like the single engine bulldogs or any other used for basic training similar to PPL for commercial pilots, and probably other aircrattfs for multi-engine training for future transport pilots. That's why NAF sends out cadet pilots to training in different countries before returning home for their type-ratings.

Capnd143: Come what happened to all those :
1.dornier alpha trainer
2.l-39 albatros trainers
3.MB339A trainers
4.l-39ZA Albatros trainers
5.mikoyan gurevic MiG-21S trainers
6.sapecat jaguars?
Of all the 32 MiG birds none is servicable? Abi? Where is the money budgeted for defense?

Cheif of Air staff better go and get some [Rafale jets] and euro fighter EF 2000 TYPHONS OH! To boost are NAF.

Your post is riddled with so many inaccuraccies. We do jot own any UH-1 Huey helicopters or C-160 Transalls transport aircraft. Never have, never will.

ALL our A-109 LUH (bought just a few years ago) are pretty much in service (Enugu). Four AS Puma utility helos have equally been put back in active duty after beingupgraded in Romania. 2 of our C-130s are currently on active duties flying sorties in Mal, and 3 more are expected to return this month from Europe where they were sent for upgrades. All 6 G-222s are in active service, with one that flew in NAF technical teams and Special Forces into Ali and Niger Republic during the start of operation serval in Mali. Alpha jets and Mi-35 Hind assault helicopters have also been deployed to provide combat are support for troops on the ground.

But yes our old Mig-21s and Jaguars have been withdrawn from service. But we DO NOT own any F-5 fighters or MIG-29 fulcrums.

Capnd143: As of 2011 this is the list of samples of birds (unservicable and servicable) on nigerian airbases

good to see someone who knows a bit about NAF, but sorry bro, i didnt include the F5's and the MiG-29 fulcrums in my post, i think you are mistaking the FF7's for them! And yes Nigeria owned UH-1 Huey birds and i can prove it. No harm meant dough, Thanks

I'm afraid u did post a pic of 3 aircrafts (one F-5 in woodland camo with NAF roundel, and 2xMig 27 Fulcrums in blue). Check your previous post with the "naija I hail thee" phrase.

And no, we do not own the UH-1 Heuy. Yes we own the Pumas, Bo-105s, Mi-17s, Mi-35s, Mi-24s, Augusta 109s, Augusta 139, and even Bell Jet-rangers (Navy) and Westland Lynxs (Navy). We even own an old Alloute LUH that currently sits in the barracks of 3rd Brigade (former Air-mobile brigade), Bori Camp, Port Harcourt. But what I haven't seen is a UH-1 huey. Then again, I may be wrong

I was gonna ask why I don't see pictures of other nations planes like that then I decided to do my research, also I noticed the fourth plane is blue under.

most of Nigeria's camo(and this is purely speculation from me) seems made for deserts and forests, the seventh one seems a more practical silver for airforce bases unless our bases are sandy which will just make me laugh. The desert ones seem for countries like egypt that are mostly sandy and we don't really have a reason to park our planes in forests, we are not losing an aerial war yet. Anyway you are all in all very correct, I learned something new today.

ROSSIKE: Shut up and fk off with your peddling of lies and anti Nigerian hate. Nothing works in your brain otherwise you would leave the airforce experts to deal with their problem as they see fit. What training do you have to open your stinking mouth to criticise?

You are very irrational aren't you. I will try not to incite a response like you before I lose a few more brain cells.

You're a born LIAR and DECEIVER who has no interest of this country at heart. If you did, the very first thing you'd do is YELL AT THE MODS/OP to CORRECT THE FRAUDULENT HEADLINE. (Obviously some STUP.ID MOD has an interest in peddling lies against Nigeria by leaving the fraudulent, deceptive headline on). Instead of doing the right thing, you then JOIN in the deceit by claiming that ''only one plane'' was functional at the Kaduna airforce base. You are a liar and a supporter of lies. And until you can learn to call a spade a spade with factual accuracy, you have no room for complaint about Nigeria, as you're more INCOMPETENT AND/OR FRAUDULENT than those you're criticising.

Tolexander: NAF has one serviceable aircraft for training!
Maybe the others are not serviceable but functioning
it's true. They have only one functional Do-228 aircraft used for training of transport pilots and at the sametime used for courier and executive flights. The others cannot fly. They've been grounded long ago. I've gone there to see things myself years back when a friend was doing his basic transport flying course. The guy also complained then. He's a group captain now.

You have a very LOW IQ. So what you went to see ''YEARS BACK'' is what you come here to claim is the current situation? Based on what you saw ''years back'' as a kid escorting his mate to a base?

HOW ABOUT DECADES BACK? OR CENTURIES BACK?

How would a non entity kid like you and your student friend have known exactly how many functional training aircraft the entire Nigerian Airforce possessed after visiting a single base ''years back''? Who did you speak to? Or rather, who were you allowed to speak to?

DUMMY WITH NO BRAIN, but with internet access.

don't be rude pls. It's because of reasons like these dat i stopped commenting on nairaland posts. U actually think i'm a kid? My friend did his course there when he was still a wing commander as at 2010. He's in 81 air maritime group, benin city now flying ATR-42 maritime recce aircraft. He just got his group captain. I still live on the air force base in kaduna and there is no body there that does n't know the situation of things in the 301 flying training school in kaduna. Nothing has changed there, no new aircraft has been acquired for 301 FTS. I was in the flying school even on friday, i still have friends and colleagues dat are pilots, engineers and technicians there. The AOC is not telling lies, he knows what he's saying, no new aircrafts have been given to 301 FTS since 2010 for the training of transport pilots in kaduna.

why did you call it inactive? Becos of the insults and constant derailing? If that is the reason, then i can understand. But you have derailers every where! As well as people who take pleasure in insulting others.

There are guys in there who are a bit nice. They are andrewza and agaugust. One is in the defence industry and the other is in south african navy. They are great guys i can assure you. Although they are a bit quiet now, they will come back if you share something a bit revealing, iluminating, educating and interesting about the topic.
