I thought that Djibril Cissé was Fula ethnically, correct me if I'm wrong. Some names in that region are also oddly fulani names (Cissé or Sissay). That said, I didn't realize that Touré was a Mande name. My late and great hero Ali Farka Touré was Songhai (related to Zarma and Djerma) Mali's former president was also named Touré. This is a very interesting thread.
