Fellow Nigerians, pls advice me whether i should buy Mercedes 190 or Honda hala, thanks.

Mercedez 190 in this century?
I don't have a car yet, but I won't buy a 190 in this century. It has no scrapvalue.

Pls go 4 190. it is strong, durable and cheap to maintain though, not as fuel efficient as Honda but its good for Nigerian roads instead of Honda that gets affected easily by our wonderful roads

I am a great fan of German cars but given the above choices to select from, I will settle for a honda accord 92 model EX 2.2L 4cyl, 5 speed manual.

My preferred choice to the benz 190.

I will recommend the MB190 (V-boot arrse). it was my first car back in 98. Mine was 2.0L caburettor, manual gear, no air condition. Didnt need to increase the radiator. Drove it for 3years before upgrading to an E-class mercedes.

The man i sold it to is still driving it to date. The car is great just do regular maintenance.

I am presently searching for same spec as a security car. Apart from a nissan maxima then dont remember any 2.0-2.6L engine car dusting me and incredible balance at 185Km/hr not that i recommend that speed again but once in a while on good road you need to know how fast you can go.

Only one draw back on clothe type seats. The upper left side of the driver seat seem to wear out fast so get a seat cover.

Avoid fairly used spares. i upgraded my tyres to 185 from the 165 it came with.

HMMMM, when you buy a car, you will know the power behind the 190.

no double-think, mercedes 190. Get a white one, the 1992 model (not sure of the last date produced), dark windows plus great alloy...now you wont compare that with the Honda...

I don't know what a Honda Hala is but my vote is for the 190.

But seriously you should buy the best car that you can afford.

Not sure of price of replacement parts on Benz in Nigeria but you also have to take into consideration the total cost of ownership.

I will go for MB 190. Its a very strong and durable car. Just do the regular maintenance. You ll hear about fuel consumption in some quarters, not that it will not have a remedy in case it ever comes. You ll also consider actual condition of the each of these cars. A very clean Hala cannot out-bit an almost dead 190, if u understand what i mean.
