Below is a commentator's opinion on punch newspapers.Do u agree with his conclusion that Nigeria is a failed state?
''What is all this noise over the death of "an ordinary commissioner of police"? An army general was gunned down in cold blood in his compound. The attorney General of the Country was callously murdered when all the 6 policemen guarding him "went" to eat. Police headquarters was bombed. United Nations building Abuja was dynamited and scores of innocent souls were gruesomely murdered. Funso Williams was killed in his bedroom. Kabiru Sokoto was arrested and he managed to "escape" under the watchful eye of Zakari Biu (a disgraced and disgruntled police officer). It took the sacking IGP RINGIM to rearrest the fleeing Kabiru Sokoto! Since the sacking of RINGIM - BOKO HARAM has become bolder and more daring... Kidnapping is 2 for One Naira. Police men, soldiers, customs, immigration, civil servants etc. all live above their means and nobody can talk. The likes of JOHN YUSUFF (POLICE PENSION THIEF), TAFA BALOGUN, CECILLIA IBRU, ERASTUS AKINGBOLA, JAMES IBORI are the "smart" Nigerians. Bunkering is normal business. Darkness is our national pride. The judiciary is confused and emasculated. The Federal Police is grossly deficient and embarrassingly incompetent (ask ADAMS OSHIOMOLE). There is so much to be gained by way of STATE POLICE - but our politicians will NOT support that. WHY? With State Police, professionalism will be brought in and criminals are more likely to be caught faster and properly prosecuted. Since our politicians are the criminals you will not ask them to commit suicide. Jonathan can pretend that all is well... And it gradually dawns on all of us that, INDEED - NIGERIA IS A FAILED STATE.''

Read "There was a country" by Chinua Achebe. I think if there is no revolution in Nigeria soon, then, We better all run to neighboring countries because there will be no future for us here.
