The numbers of Gay churches are on the increase, the Pope's had enough of the hypocrisy,Churches are becoming a PLC. why? Because the religion is based on lies.

Christians ar nt suprise, i mean true believers of Christ, that it is written 'in the last days iniquity wil abound and the love of men wil grow cold.' 'many are called bt few ar chosen.' Atheists have ramped up their efforts to gain greater respect and prominence in American society. While there are some non-believing organizations and groups that seek to have respectful debates with religious peoples, there are others that simply seek to poke fun at and incite the faith community.

Take for instance the Atheist Agenda, a student group at the University of Texas at San Antonio. The group setup a table on campus and promised to offer an exchange to anyone interested: Hand in a Bible or religious text and receive a pornographic magazine. They dubbed the event “Smut for Smut,” in an apparent effort to frame the Bible as a book with comparable connotations to pornography....source

I thought he came up with it himself. After attempting another read, seems it comes from conservapedia. That's a bit like quoting boko haram. Here's wiki's take on it

wiki:
Conservapedia is an English-language wiki encyclopedia project written from a self-described American conservative and Christian point of view. The website was started in 2006 by homeschool teacher and attorney Andrew Schlafly, son of conservative activist Phyllis Schlafly,[3][4] to counter what he called the liberal bias of Wikipedia.[5][6] It uses editorials and a wiki-based system to generate content.

Examples of the ideology of Conservapedia in its articles include accusations against and strong criticism of US President Barack Obama, strong criticism of the Democratic Party, criticism of evolution, criticism of a wide array of alleged liberal ideologies, criticism of Wikipedia's supposed liberal bias, criticism of the theory of relativity as promoting moral relativism,[7] claiming a proven link between abortion and breast cancer, praise of a number of Republican politicians, praise of celebrities and artistic works that it views as "conservative" and/or promoting moral standards in line with Christian family values, and asserting that the goals of a so-called homosexual agenda include indoctrination. Conservapedia's "Conservative Bible Project" is a crowd-sourced translation of the Bible which Conservapedia claims will be "free of corruption by liberal untruths".[8]

The site has received negative reactions from the mainstream media, as well as from notable political figures, including commentators and journalists,[9][10] and has been criticized for bias and inaccuracies.

moar
wiki:
The Conservapedia project has come under significant criticism for numerous factual inaccuracies[12][13] and factual relativism.[12] Wired magazine noted that Conservapedia was "attracting lots of derisive comments on blogs and a growing number of phony articles written by mischief makers".[10] Iain Thomson in Information World Review wrote that "leftist subversives" may have been creating deliberate parody entries.[29] Conservapedia has been compared to CreationWiki, a wiki written from a creationist perspective,[3][10] and Theopedia, a wiki with a Reformed theology focus.[31] Fox News obliquely compared it with other new conservative websites competing with mainstream ones, such as MyChurch, a Christian version of social networking site MySpace, and GodTube, a Christian version of video site YouTube.[65]

Tom Flanagan, a conservative professor of political science at the University of Calgary, has argued that Conservapedia is more about religion, specifically Christianity, than conservatism and that it "is far more guilty of the crime they're attributing to Wikipedia" than Wikipedia itself.[11] Matt Millham of the military-oriented newspaper Stars and Stripes called Conservapedia "a Web site that caters mostly to evangelical Christians".[66] Its scope as an encyclopedia, according to its founders, "offers a historical record from a Christian and conservative perspective".[67] APC magazine perceives this to be representative of Conservapedia's own problem with bias.[40] Conservative Christian commentator Rod Dreher has been highly critical of the website's "Conservative Bible Project", an ongoing retranslation of the Bible which Dreher attributes to "insane hubris" on the part of "right-wing ideologues".[68]

The project has also been criticized for promoting a false dichotomy between conservatism and liberalism and for promoting relativism with the implicit idea that there "often are two equally valid interpretations of the facts".[12] Matthew Sheffield, columnist for the conservative daily newspaper The Washington Times and contributor to the conservative Media Research Center blog NewsBusters, argued that conservatives concerned about bias should contribute more often to Wikipedia rather than use Conservapedia as an alternative since he felt that alternative websites like Conservapedia are often "incomplete".[69] Author Damian Thompson asserts that the purpose of Conservapedia is to "dress up nonsense as science".[70]

Bryan Ochalla, writing for the LGBT magazine The Advocate, referred to the project as "Wikipedia for the bigoted".[71] On the satirical news program The Daily Show, comedian Lewis Black lampooned its article on homosexuality.[72] Writing in The Australian, columnist Emma Jane described Conservapedia as "a disturbing parallel universe where the ice age is a theoretical period, intelligent design is empirically testable, and relativity and geology are junk sciences."[23]

Opinions criticizing the site rapidly spread throughout the blogosphere around early 2007.[10][19] Schlafly appeared on radio programs Today on BBC Radio 4[34] and All Things Considered on NPR[5] to discuss the site around that time. In May 2008, Schlafly and one of his homeschooled students appeared on the CBC program The Hour for the same purpose.[73]

Stephanie Simon of the Los Angeles Times quoted two Conservapedia editors who commented favorably about Conservapedia.[14] Matt Barber, policy director for the conservative Christian political action group Concerned Women for America, praised Conservapedia as a more family-friendly and accurate alternative to Wikipedia.[74]

Wired magazine, in an article entitled "Ten Impressive, Weird And Amazing Facts About Wikipedia", highlighted several of Conservapedia's articles, including those on "Atheism and obesity" and "Hollywood values", amongst others. It also highlighted Conservapedia's "Examples of bias in Wikipedia" article, which encourages readers to contact Jimmy Wales and tell him to "sort it out."[75]

Conservapedia's use of Wikipedia's format to create a conservative Christian alternative encyclopedia has been mirrored by other sites, such as Tangle.com (formerly GodTube), QubeTV and MyChurch, which adopted the format of the more prominent Facebook, YouTube and MySpace, respectively.[3][65][76]

Wikipedia's co-creator Jimmy Wales said about Conservapedia that "free culture knows no bounds" and "the reuse of our work to build variants [is] directly in line with our mission".[77] Wales denied Schlafly's claims of liberal bias in Wikipedia.[11]

All this is well sourced, of course.

Have you ever used WOT or any of those tools that warn you when entering 419 sites? These sites are regulated by users, not some authority, users being frequently xtians themselves. Of course, it's blessed with the very lowest score possible there. Here's WOT community's take on conservapedia

http://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/conservapedia.com?utm_source=addon&utm_content=warn-viewsc

To be fair, the only remotely decent thing to come about from there is

wiki:
"Examples of bias in Wikipedia" article, which encourages readers to contact Jimmy Wales and tell him to "sort it out."

Then again, anyone with sense can spot faulty wiki articles, and would rely on sources primarily. Seems very few people with sense around though. There are also lots of much better ways to get that point across rather than literally demonstrating it with the farce that is conservapedia, like the wired article. Heck, again, just common sense reasoning should do.

If only I paid attention (it's hard to considering the quality of the dross any of our distinguished head house slaves usually put up) I'd have noticed the troll. Least I hope it's a troll....

Ah yes, I'm sure this is some sort of fallacy, hmmm?

musKeeto: Lol, another Anony 'Atheist Creed' thread...

lol.. lol.. lol....

These guys are getting pretty desperate..

WARNING TO CHRISTIANS: Read Logicboy's thread on why lots of people are losing their faith/shifting to agnosticism as a result of arguments on NL's relgiion section.
I say this to you with the love of 'GOD' in my heart: please open threads Christ would be proud of... wink

You must have been really shaken by 'Atheist Creed'. This wasn't even intended to be a follow up of that very interesting and revealing thread.

Claiming that "lots of people are losing their faith on account of NL's blah blah blah" is what real desperation is. The fact is: NL religious section is becoming a 'wasteland' because of the dishonest and shameless activities of the likes of [Logic]boy (their is a need to safeguard logic from that boy for the good of rationality) - Christians would rather leave NL rather than to convert to 'denialism'.

We christians are well aware of our challenges, It was prophesied and we know how it will end. When some 'believers' become morally bankrupt, give up because of the burden of guilt, its easy for them to fall for a belief system like agnostism that offers no moral accountability. Theory of evolution...mistakes of churches blah blah blah becomes a cover-up because of their inability to rise from the fall until they become completely deluded.

Christianity is only growing in backwards countries. It is not Growing in Europe, Japan, Canada, Australia and USA- all of which are finding higher levels of atheism/irreligion.

You accuse atheists of immorality. Look at the numerous lies on your op? Without an atheist would you even have this site to be commenting on?

Have you even wondered why upon all the religion in Nigeria, Nigeria is backwards? Sweden and Denmark with high levels of atheism have better living stanards and are advancing

Yet most of this 'advanced' countries with high rate of atheism have the highest suicide rate.

Dr. Martin urged that a great cause of suicide was atheism. It was, he said, a remarkable fact that where atheism prevailed most, there suicides were most numerous. In Paris, a recent census showed one suicide to every 2,700 of the population. After the publication of Paine's "Age of Reason" suicides increased.

Religiously unaffiliated subjects had significantly more lifetime suicide attempts and more first-degree relatives who committed suicide than subjects who endorsed a religious affiliation. Unaffiliated subjects were younger, less often married, less often had children, and had less contact with family members. Furthermore, subjects with no religious affiliation perceived fewer reasons for living, particularly fewer moral objections to suicide. In terms of clinical characteristics, religiously unaffiliated subjects had more lifetime impulsivity, aggression, and past substance use disorder. No differences in the level of subjective and objective depression, hopelessness, or stressful life events were found.
- The American Journal of Psychiatry 2004

Pitzer College sociologist Phil Zuckerman compiled country-by-country survey, polling and census numbers relating to atheism, agnosticism, disbelief in God and people who state they are non-religious or have no religious preference. These data were published in the chapter titled "Atheism: Contemporary Rates and Patterns" in The Cambridge Companion to Atheism, ed. by Michael Martin, Cambridge University Press: Cambridge, UK (2005). In examining various indicators of societal health, Zuckerman concludes about suicide:
"Concerning suicide rates, this is the one indicator of societal health in which religious nations fare much better than secular nations. According to the 2003 World Health Organization's report on international male suicides rates (which compared 100 countries), of the top ten nations with the highest male suicide rates, all but one (Sri Lanka) are strongly irreligious nations with high levels of atheism. It is interesting to note, however, that of the top remaining nine nations leading the world in male suicide rates, all are former Soviet/Communist nations, such as Belarus, Ukraine, and Latvia. Of the bottom ten nations with the lowest male suicide rates, all are highly religious nations with statistically insignificant levels of organic atheism."

Suicide aside. You call yourself a revolutionary; your objective is to turn people against God; What I am pointing out is that your tireless labor over the years is a collosal failure. The only people you claim to have 'converted' is your family(an unconvincing claim).

The only thing you have succeeded achieving is the inability to take at least a temporary break from NL to help improve your sanity.

I repeat: For any Nigerian contemplating atheism; their are tens of thousands standing up for altar call, giving their life to the Lord Jesus Christ every sunday- round the federation.

Questions for the so called belivers to answer
1.why did it take God hundreds of years to introduce religion to the world after creation? couldnt he have just created us and given us religion immediately?
2.Why did God need men on with swords to enforce his religion (i.e crusaders and mujahideens) couldnt he have just blessed our hearts with religion.
3why does god keep creating unbelievers if he didnt like them. e.g why keep creating jews if he doesnt like them.
4.Why cant God just come out and proclaim which among the thousands of the religions on earth is his and save everybody the wahala.
