dayokanu: Rubbish

You mean the author couldnt name a single Yoruba man who owns an OML and yet the SW are the ones stealing the common Patrimony

Or he meant people who went to look for jobs and are employed by multinationals are the ones stealing their patrimony

No mind the yeye people.even adenugas main oil block is in ondo state .the other licenses he hold is in ogun and Lagos state.
Obateru of obat oil made his money own and oil depot for importation of refined products.he comes from a family of sea trading merchants.
Obama otudeko is an industrialist and made his money from simple hardwork. Not government patronage .
Kase lawal made his money overseas.
Harry akande made his money oversea.
Deinde Fernandez ........overseas
Okoya Thomas is a businessman , party man and industrialist
Etc
How has the wealth of these people negatively affected these fools?
Is it stopping them from making there own wealth.
These are educated industrialist with real wealth, not the illiterate petty traders that are relatively common in nigeria .

These dolts are blaming the fact that there are a lot of Yorubas working with foreign oil coys on a conspiracy to control Nigeria's economy.in fact, those companies employ many of their workers from univerties overseas.
I have 3 friend working in shell ,Indonesia right now.never worked one day in nigeria.they were employed straight from a British university.they are often moved around the world as well.
There are a lot of people with degrees in nigeria. However ,many of those degrees cannot be defended
The rest are employed after after an aptitude test .
I remember what happened when an oil company offered employment to a ND community. They rejected the jobs, aggressively demanded money instead.
Unfortunately, the job has to done and unlike nigeria, nepotism and tribalism has no place in most global workplace .
also the oil coys are not based in Lagos for nothing.they are there because of the stability ,security and lifestyle.those values have always been there even before the Europeans came.
Banking industry.
Anybody with money can set up a bank , not everybody can run one. This is not petty teading we are talking about here. You cannot force me to put my money in your bank.full stop.if you want to play in the banking industry , set up one.
There lies obafemi awolowos legacy . He mass educated his people while others were busying partying, playing polo and drinking ogogoro.
Very soon , some others will start blaming the Yorubas when we get control of our own economic policies.this will seriously curtail all these importation of sub standard / fake goods and allow for domestic production.
Now these idiots have woken up from their achohol induced slumber and blaming the Yorubas for their plight.why won't they be poor when they keep voting For their true master Ahmadu bello, shagari, obj etc.
We pay most of the VAT
WE pay most of the electricity bills that the even SW governors cannot setup their own power companies. This will render the so called power reform useless because most of the money that is to be made is made here(just call it the SW electricity board

Dirts off our shoulders. We have been held back for too long .
One thing for sure , we are tired of these nonsense .however, do not drag us into your rofo rofo fight with anybody .We have done enough of that already and we have always passed a referendum on Nigeria with the ballot.
Yes, we are successful not because of nigeria , we are successful because at every point in history , we have always done the right thing .
We cannot continue to pull people along when they want to remain standing .
We have natural resources . But our biggest asset is the people ; many of whom have had to leave that polluted landscape called Nigeria

.

Ikengawo: SW states do the second worst in education statistics, the north does the absolute worst

Imo, Anambra, Delta trade spots for top three, so i doubt it has anything to do with skill or awolowo. You can keep telling this lie of an 'educated SW' or you can pursuit real education like the rest of nigeria is attempting to do. Every SW uni is minimum 30-40% igbo while every SS SE uni is 12% yoruba maximum.

unless you feel that the oil industry in nigeria is being handled with 'skill'

You are bringing a federal government allied program to support an argument about human capacity . This must be the joke of the century.
The failure starts with branding youwin .you win wetin. Sound like the name of a pool company.
Nothing that comes out of the federal government is based on merit
Right from the president himself to the rest of his cabinet .
That list which I did not bother to go through look more like the list of the family members of PDP.
