3,235 new teachers were to be employed, 10,000 applicants wrote the exam conducted by JAMBS. Applicants were grouped into two: ex-OYES volunteers and non-OYES volunteers. The result was released 72 hours later, two weeks after, cut-off marks were made known. OYES, 145&above over 300 while non-OYES, 173&above over 300. 2,600 applicants made final list for interview. The remaining 635 posts were for politicians whose candidates failed to meet cut-off marks, good. Shortly after, all OYES who attended the .....

...... interview were called and given Letters of Appointment, hurray! Politicians began to nominate candidates for their 635 slots reserved for them. While this was going on, abate secretly, non OYES cadets who attended interview were told to exercise patient in collecting their Letters. When politicians were collating names, they submitted names more than the slots allocated to them and the career officers at the SUBEB office also saw the opportunity to either make money or help someone they know ........

Names were released yesterday and several non-OYES who met the cut-off mark couldn't see their names on the list. When OYES list for collecting letters of appointment was released, their scores were put in front of their names to show transparency, but yesterday, the scores were conspicuously missing! I know someone who scored 181 but couldn't see her name. Someone scored 120 and another one scored 99, both will collect letters soon because their names were on the list......

..... why the names of non OYES merit candidates mixed with the politicians "failure candidates"? Why was their scores missing on the lists? A man who scored 204 couldn't see his name on the lists when less than 200 candidates scored 200 & above out of 10,000 candidates. When will merit be cherished in this nation? It's just corruption everywhere: Federal, State, Local levels. No transparency, no sincerity anywhere anymore.

This is absolutely unfair, what does ogbeni has to do about this, atleast they're claiming 'omoluabi' state. Is this supposed 2 be the attributes of omoluabi which they claim? Smh...

I dont think so because those who scored above cut-off marked had collected theirs letters even O-yes members have alread collected theirs.those have not collected are politicians candidate nd their letter have ready bt d person incharge of it is out of country.b4 d resumption date ,d man will be around nd collect their own.dat is what l know about it.

A lady told me she scored 183 for subeb but wasn't issued the appointment letter but I don't know if she failed the interview as no one knows the modality for the selection of the best applicants during the interview.However,the tescom interview is still ongoing and applicants are scored based on appearance,answers to questions asked among others.The interviewers claim they want the best,so I pray they use merit.God help us all.

The examination,interview and selection process was very open as explained by many commentators on this forum.Candidates scores was written on every employment letter.OYES candidates were given preference becuase of their participation in the scheme while Non-OYES were also nominated.Politicians will always infuence bureaucratic process but i think Aregbesola has ben fair enough in handling the SUBEB process.

This oyes and non oyes resemble secret cult things o.

You still have to thank God that recruitment is carried out in the State of Osun, imagine SUBEB, Teaching Service Commission and also Civil Service Commission. But in our own Ondo State (The State of Pride) here, we no see anything like recruitment but rather the working class are being intimidated and made to go through rigorous screening exercise so that the government can get a handful of them to send parking. I just they will employ after sending those ones parking.
