A lady told me she scored 183 for subeb but wasn't issued the appointment letter but I don't know if she failed the interview as no one knows the modality for the selection of the best applicants during the interview. However, the tescom interview is still ongoing and applicants are scored based on appearance, answers to questions asked among others. The interviewers claim they want the best,so I pray they use merit.God help us all.
Ask the person again, there wasn't any.

[quote author=bablogee]THE WRITER IS ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. I ALSO WROTE THE TESCOM EXAMS AND I SCORED 178, BUT WHEN THE LIST OF SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES CAME OUT,MY NAME WAS NOT THERE. THE LIST WAS DOMINATED BY PEOPLE WHO SCORED 150 AND THERE ABOUT. EVEN PEOPLE THAT SCORED MORE THAN I DID COULD NOT FIND THERE NAMES. IT WAS UNTIL DUST WAS RAISED THAT THEY PASTE ANOTHER LIST ACCOMODATING EVERYBODY THAT SCORED 150 AND ABOVE.
U're talking about TESCOM but this is SUBEB. But for TESCOM too, just 4get.

@ my dear Maasoap, I am not but I thing this is what it takes to survive the present political x;oeijfwi(I don't know how to describe it) we found our self now. No wonder, religious house are enjoying more patronage. The story by the OP makes me to imagine myself going for a job interview which criteria for selection of candidates has been well laid down only for the umpires to start adjusting the goal post when I want to play a set-piece. God help us all.

Thanks for puting this thread on FP even though it is late. More is coming about CSC and TESCOM (now known as TEPO). I also created a thread about unfair treatment melted out to Primary School Cert Holders that successfully completed OYES 2nd phase training. Now, several weeks after leaving the camp, the programme couldn't take off due to many controversies surrounding the scheme with entire Ife (about 5 local govts) telling Mr Gov to keep his OYES.

Merit yourself is the key. Create a viable and legal work for yourself pending the time at least you get a viable job. Don't rely on all these Areglosola or white collar jobs. Student entreneurship or youth entreneurship should be the norm in Nigeria by now. Savour your heart with information. I have a researching on student entreneurship. Will keep it posted when ready.

Transparency? I saw d list of a popular politician in Osogbo L.G typed & saved on d Desktop Computer I wanted to browse with waiting for printing. And that was the 2nd day of TESCOM interview. D list contains Names, Subjects, Qualif, Exam No but no scores, instead contained d word "INTERVIEWED"!

sunky644: You still have to thank God that recruitment is carried out in the State of Osun, imagine SUBEB, Teaching Service Commission and also Civil Service Commission. But in our own Ondo State (The State of Pride) here, we no see anything like recruitment but rather the working class are being intimidated and made to go through rigorous screening exercise so that the government can get a handful of them to send parking. I just they will employ after sending those ones parking.
Ondo State has 55000 workers out of which about half are either ghost workers, dead people, over aged people, etc. Are you saying that the state govt should continue to employ without cleaning the mess of the past? I am not a fan of Dr Segun Mimiko but I am in total support of his effort to clean the mess called civil service in Ondo State. Several thousands of unemployed graduates are roaming the streets of Akure meanwhile there are many people in their 70's claiming 45 or 50 in the state civil service. Come to Akure and I will show you the mansions built by LG account clerks and accounting officers in the ministries at the annex of the high brow Alagbaka GRA and other parts of the city through monies fraudulently made from ghost workers and other forms of fraud. A syndicate group in Ondo State civil service in connivance with relevant officers of the accountant general and budget has employed more than 5000 people into the state civil service after collecting between N30000 and N50000 right from the time of Late Pa Adefarati and you expect a reasonable govt to continue to over look it. The ongoing screening has revealed several workers who finished secondary school at the age of 9, 10 or 11, how possible? If my party, the ACN won the last governorship election in the state, I would have been in the forefront of a crusade to sanitise the state civil service as Dr Mimiko is doing right now. The gov has promised that after the exercise, genuine vacancies will be declared and filled with eligible candidates. Let us wait and see, cheers!

Did she score 183 in the first exam that was improperly managed and cancelled or the second one conducted by JAMB? If it is true that she scored 183 and was not issued letter of appointment, please ask her to send her details to komotundeyoung@yahoo.com. The Governor of the State of Osun , Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola abhors cheating and lives by fairness. He usually overturns all and any oppressive decisions taken against the people and brought to his attention. That was why the first SUBEB exam was cancelled and JAMB recruited to conduct the second one. It is same reason the first Civil Service exam was cancelled. While many people have not reconciled themselves to the fact that merit rules in current Osun, Mr Governor believes in and promotes merit. Please let us however avoid rumours that cannot be substantiated so we do not discourage those working hard to correct the ills of the country. Dont let us be tools in the hands of unscrupulous politicians whose stock in trade are lies.

On TESCOM, while I do not have enough info about their operations, I think the initial tests were on general aptitude and knowledge. The interviews have to be based on core subjects to ensure a chemistry teacher understands enough of the concepts to teach chemistry. same with history teacher. If this is rated higher than aptitude, I think it is fair since the job to do is on the core subject.

will sending mail to this address rectify the wrong been done?Anywax I'll inform her.I also pray that at least 70% merit will be used as regards the tescom recruitment because what the government needs to know is that garbage in,garbage out.If incompetent but politically influenced individuals are employed at the expense of the competent ones, then the sensitive education will continue to remain rotten.

We need to thank the ACN government for open recruitment. It may not be perfect but it is a step in the right direction. I believe with their government people will be recruited yearly. And unemployment will be drastically reduced over time. For those who are not so lucky to get the job, I want you to believe God has something better in your future.
