Remember to extract the two files there, the jar and jad, copy or move to your phone, update the app and update it again till it says latest version installed, open your app and enjoy.
(Though this may still not work for all s40 phones, cos i tried it on nokia 6301 and it said, file too large.)

chineduace: finally it worked, i did another update on the app and within seconds i was chatting on this much eluded whatsapp on my nokia asha 200 which whatsapp said it is not supported.... Thanks a million.

check your mails and read from the begining of this thread, all questions have been answered. If after following all procedures and it still didn't work, then it may never work.

I geuss its not my lucky day, its saying file too large to be saved (nokia 6303c)

Up till now it baffles me why whatsapp is selective of device. Either file too large (so what happens when i have 25MB internal memory and 4GB memory card) or device not compatible (while some people are using it with same incompatible device like me) or invalid file (when an update will solve the problem)
I've visited a Nokia forum where whatsapp replied to Asha 200 that whatsapp gets confused with dual sim phones and that 200 and 201 have diffferent builds but spec analysits says otherwise. My thinking is that it will work for qwerty phones and newer nokia models but meanwhile i suggest you try your luck 1st and google it before giving up finally. Good luck guys. I'm outta here...

better look for a pc and unzip it, extract the jar and jad, copy/move to your phone and perform the update.

mine is about 25MB now on same phone, but i doubt this because when i move it from memory card to phone memory, it shrinks to about 2MB, but the summary be say e de work abi...

Whatsapp creates a folder of its own where it stores your sent and received files and the more ur files the larger it becomes

i try this trick to my mobile NOKIA 5310.but its not working...it shows error that certificate not on phone or in Sim.

Yes boss. It works for Asha phones. Connect the Asha phone to ovi suite on pc and search for whatsapp. download, install and enjoy.

i am using a nokia asha 200. And i hav seen many on theses threads gaining success in installin watsap on this phone. Pls hlp..
