Your comments continue to show that you don't have proper knowledge of ND situation. Those boys are not fighting for their pocket. There are a few that definitely are selfish, but most of those in Egbesu have sworn to defend their resources with their lives. For your information, their demands have not changed. That is why you see Asari Dokubo still talking and Edwin Clark still vocalising their demands. The militants never asked for amnesty. You keep getting it wrong. They were offered amnesty and had to be convinved to accept it. The only reason they are quiet is because they expect some of their demands will be met like the PIB. Not just because of meagre change they are collecting from government. They made a lot of money as militants, you have no clue. How do you think they acquired weapons?
Making money through oil bunkering and having mini makeshifts refinaries in the creeks and using same proceeds to acquire weapons.

The challenge the Government had is not about mastery of the creeks or under water speciality. The challenge was collateral damage and the danger of killing too many locals in order to defeat ND millitants. That was the issue and even the US Navy would have struggled with this issue. Do not confuse this as some kind of mastery of the art of warfare by ND boys.

That said, the premise of the amnesty programme was wrong. It is a Government programme that rewards violence and if it going on right now it needs to stop. What needs to happen is True Fedralism, let everyone control the resources in their region. What this means is Bayelsa and Rivers people will control the oil in the wells in mainland. But oil wells in the coast of guinea and the oceans around us will continue to remain the property of the Federal Government as no one can lay claim to that!

Most of you just sit in Lagos or Abuja and type with no knowledge of what is happening 100km from where you are.

Militants don't fight or live in communities. They are not BH. They live in the creeks. There is nothing like collateral damage in the militants fight. They are constantly on the move. They go out and bomb installations and come back to the creeks. Collateral damage was never the problem. The problem was locating them in the creeks.

Secondly, I will keep drumming it in your ear that the militants never asked for amnesty. They were offered. There is a big difference. They made a lot of money as militants. The only thing they gained from amnesty is the freedom to move freely about. Most of the people who have gained from the amnesty program are not really true militants. But the government just had to include everyone who submitted their names.

Niger Delta agitation is for resource control and that hasn't changed.

There is really no amount of explanation you'll give to him that'll make him fully gasp the idea of what the ND creeks looks like. Its either he visits & see for himself or he could solicit for pictures from those who have gone. It is a very treacherous terrain
As for d MEND guys, those guys were never ever faceless. I cn recount what a senior DSS man told me when he was still in bayelsa, he was among the deputy guvnor's details, & they wia goin for a function on speed boats when they got approached by a group of militants, the millitants commander had to dismiss one of his boys dia & dia(the guy swam from that point to land which was miles away) for firing his gun close to the deputy guvnor witout being ordered to do so. Despite the heavy security details they came & spoke with the man & left peacefully. Wonder if BH wld have dne so in similar circumstance.
