A Court of Appeal panel sitting in Abuja has upheld the ruling of the governorship election tribunal election of Rivers state.

In a 110-page ruling delivered by Justice M.B. Dongban-Mensem the Court ruled that the election of Nyesom Wike did not conform with the electoral act.

A three-man Court of Appeal ordered a rerun in 90 days.

Pictured is chairman of DAAR communications Raymond Dokpesi leaving EFCC detention with his entourage soon as he secured bail after interrogation over allegations that he partook in diversion $2.1 billion arms purchase scam.

Mr. Dokpesi was questioned by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission on Tuesday over the N2.1 billion he allegedly received from the office of the NSA. The AIT boss said the money he received from the office of the National Security Adviser during the administration of Goodluck Jonathan was payment for media and political campaign for the 2015 general election.

Report reaching Newsnow Nigeria says a suicide bomber hits Muslim procession in Kano.....

The KANO – – – -Scores were feared dead at Dakasoye village, Garun Mallam local goverment area of Kano Friday when a suicide bomber hit Shia procession on there way to Zaria witness says.

The incident which occured by 2.00pm was said to have affected mostly women and children.

A local Journalist, Ali Kakaki who was at the scene of the blast told Vanguard that the ugly incident occured shortly after a middle aged girl detonate her bomb stripped to her body........

Another source says - A suicide bomber on Friday blew himself up among crowds in a Shia Muslim procession outside the northeast Nigerian city of Kano, organisers told AFP.

"It's a huge crowd so it's too early to give a precise figure of casualties," one of the organisers said of the blast in the village of Dakasoye, some 20 kilometres (13 miles) south of the city.
