Government Land in the hands of land speculators. Most of the owners are civil servants who cannot afford the construction cost within that area.

Yeah, you are quite right, they are awaiting the price to go up before selling. This is the reason government schemes never reach the masses.Hope the LASG would reform the allocation process for their schemes, and possibly start to modify/invoke the CofO clause which prescribes you must develop within 2years of allocation. Pianful as it may sound, it benefits the generality of people more than the few at Alausa.

I don't see why Lekki phase 2 shouldn't have been fully occupied by now.

Even Abijo GRA is taking longer to develop. Government estate has potential but development will be slow due to speculators. The staff bought those land like 50% off compare to the public and this afford them to buy more for hoarding.There so many developed parts in Phase 2 now.

Reasonable labour cost for Carpentary works in Lekki area is N40,000 while casting could be done for as low as N30,000 (direct labour).

The figures above assumes you're dealing directly with the artisan.

Can we get a quote just for casting (like 3 boards and in between pillars) without laying the blocks? . Just mix and pour concrete. The reason without blocks is some people may intend using different designs for their fencing like using a combination of rod/iron and blocks.
