Today it is either MASSOB, OPC, MEND, BOKO HARAM, BAKASI or God knows what.
My opinion is this
I think this country would have broken up for long left alone to the Ibos, but you see the Yorubas like the Hausas and Islam so much to allow the Ibos break the country.
Not also forgetting the Britain and American pack because of their gains from Nigeria's unity.
Another truth is, the Ibos resent Hausas, tolerate the Yorubas and just interact with the Minorities. Since they can not do Busines in isolation, hence their haven to integrate with other tribes because money is sweeter than hatred.
The day Yorubas are fed up of the north will be the last days of the nation called Nigeria.
But the big question is,
are the yorubas cowards and afraid of war?
will they ever be fed up of alliance with the north?
will the alley nations benefit from a broken Nigeria?
You add 1+1 and see what happens.
But what is your own opinion, don't forget this is my own opinion.

Op,
Do not forget that Igbo started Romance with Hausa until the relationship went sour........via Nzeogwu's coup and counter coup.....!!!

Yoruba is not Afraid of war/violence as history as shown but won't just jump to war/violence when such is not the solution to the present predicament.........!!!

Mind U op, the day that war/violence become the answer to Nigeria woes,U will meet Yoruba @ the forefront grin .....!!!
No doubt today SW is the tiny strait that promote Southern-Northern Relationship,it was Eastern Nigeria before.....!!!

The Igbo too do not want break-out when the Country was satisfying their political ,social and economic ambitions until the formula changed through coup and counter coup as well as mayhem that followd.......

Insurgency is ravishing northern-Nigeria today if Bokoharam shd strike any part of southern-Nigeria ,continously as the North, out of control of Federal Govt, another Civil War would possibly break out cuz this region would have no option other than to defend themselves.......

I do no think Yoruba shd opt for division simply because Igbo want-out....... Abi oooo grin....There are other many interests @ stake.....!!

what would Igbo do,if they are in yoruba position......?
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

We just have to be patient for Nigeria to materialise cuz the potentials of this country is far far beyond what each region will produce if given independence.....!!!

Also, what is happening in Nigeria today would still be experienced by each independent region of Nigeria....POWER STRUGGLE.....

Therefore,it will take a while before these young nations will also find their feet, there would be Power Struggle too......(African love power and wealth so much)...!!

No thanks to the Military our Political life woulda be matured to the extent of knowing the difference between Governance and Politics.........If we have no/short military experience(regime) we woula surpassed this level of Political/democratic maturity since the 80s or 90s......

The childish Politics/Governance we are experiencing today is what the military denied the political class then.......!!!

We shall all call for change when we are all Tired(Not when Yoruba is Tired grin)!!!

Lets Go on With One Nigeria,we shall get there if uuuuu believe....(in J-martins tone).....!!!

Evrybody , talking Nigeria should break up.

Nobody has come out with a concise plan of how thing will be run when Nigeria breaks up. Atleast each region will be neighbor's.

How will east survive with no free movement on goods and services
How will north survive with our free movement of goods and services
How will west and SS or middle belt survive.

Do you know what it means to start afresh. or do you think one region has monopoly of mind power over the other.

However, does it not cause concern that it is still the same '76ers (ibo land) that are calling for Nigeria's division.

Even, when they gain big time from Nigeria's unity.

Is this idea of division a mere distraction or a valid solution.

Even in division, we must still collaborate and hence we still be unified in a way. Look at S.K and N.K, South Sudan and North and the other parts of old Prussia.

Why is division the only solution to Nigeria's problem ?

Nigeria will break naturally, as long as we have Jihardists in the North and there is nothing anybody can do about it.
It is only a matter of time.

If Nigeria is gonna break up, it will be a violent bloody war.
The next question is, who will finance these war?
Its the very rich guys around. Again you ask yourself, who are the guys benefiting the most from this union?

This same super rich guys. So will they finance, what will dry up their milk and honey?

Hell No. We're stuck together. The earlier we start learning to tolerate one another, the better

You've just answered your own question. You may not realize it but reread your comment. Division would force neighbors to cooperate and change like in the examples you gave - South and North Korea, South Sudan and North Sudan. Those countries are operating better now than they would have if they were together. Nobody is calling for separation and exclusion of neighbors, think man. Those countries you mentioned, how are they surviving with "restriction in movement". Long and short, leave Biafra alone to pursue her capitalist policies and adopt laws that brings to bear the democratic nature of Biafrans and watch us launch Africa into the future. God bless Biafra.

Nigerians will always be Nigerians even if the country breaks.
The separate entities will still wake up one day and see no difference.

What a sad case.

TUMIC: Nigerians will always be Nigerians even if the country breaks.

True, but this would not apply to all. Biafrans would expunge all Nigerian diseases of zoning and rewarding mediocrity.

I guess we are waiting for enough Nigerians to develop the requisite amount of brain cells to accommodate that fact. The more we talk about it openly, the more brain cells and neural connections that are made.

Do you guys know how many people die before south and north sudan divided or ethirea and ethopia divided and all this country are less then 10 percent of nigeria population and igbo guys should now that there are almost 5 million igbo in north west alone and almost 7 million in south west and another 4 million in the other 2 region. So you are ready to show the world how igbo hate the hausa and yaruba that they are ready to sacrifice almost 11 million of your people when the civil war break. And funny thing there are less then 3 million hausa fulani and yaruba combine in south and south east combine

Seeing this video now really make me understand the level to which some people hate this mockery of almagamatism called a country.
The question we never ask our selves is,
"HOW DID AT ALL COME TO THIS"
We were once people who loved our selves, my father grow up in the north. And he never for once said any bad thing about the north, east, west and the south.

We were once an envy of even the western nations. The naira was once on top.
What happened?
How did it come to this?
What can we do to remedy the situation?
Or is there no hope for Nigeria?
