It is just like the catholic church wakes up and says that all churches should pray through the virgin mary. And if they don't nigeria will become ungovernable, then they take up arms and start killing muslims and Nigeria, bombing mosques.

Then the FG will call for Amnesty and start paying people who don't contribute anything to Nigeria, in the name of amnesty.

This can never happen. Tell this not in Delta, Publish it not in the streets of Warri and let the citizens of Nigeria rejoice.

Northern elders have cried out, traditional rulers notably the Sultan has also come out, politicians and many others have canvassed for amnesty. Many too have queried the consequences of these attacks, holding that if amnesty will guarantee peace, then govt should engage the sect.
Today GEJ has decided to act on public opinion. He is exploring avenue to facilitate peaceful coexistence. Islamization is out of it, peace is the desired result.
Where it is necessary to commit funds, such may be in furtherance of the ongoing poverty alleviation programme. Nigeria is a heterogenous society and the constitution recognizes that. No individual or group can intimidate Nigerians into submission.

You read the northerners asking GEJ to treat them the way he treated MEND, which means setting up a ministry for islamic terrorist, and set aside a part of the national budget to fund terrorism.

Why do people bring poverty into terrorism? Those terrorist in mali are not different from those in nigeria. They have the same values. Which country commits funds to a fraction of any religion to have peace.
