"But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today." (Deuteronomy 8:18).

Do the Lord gives wealth ?
When most people are asked this question, the very answer a lot will give is yes He gives wealth. But i say unto you the answer is no, the Lord don't give wealth and riches, because if He does we won't have poor Christians, we won't have Christians suffering from poverty. The mistake most Christians make is that , they fold their arms and watch the unbelievers make all the wealth and riches while they hope in God to give them what is already theirs.
Now putting more light to the answer i gave above, the above scripture says "But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth"
Now watch closely He didn't say He give you wealth but He said He will give you "the ability" to make wealth. Don't be deceived or misled that the Lord gives wealth because if you still have that mindset you might end up being impoverished.
The Lord gives us the ability or power to make wealth and not wealth itself. Now the second question is what is meaning or function of the word ability in the above scripture. Now i will relate the meaning of "The Ability" with the great Solomon. Solomon was asked by God what he wants and He told God he wants "wisdom", and the Lord granted it unto Him. Solomon became the richest man of His time. So that very ability God gives is the wisdom, wisdom is that very working ability to make wealth.
But it's a pity a lot of Christians still wait for God to send them manner from heaven while they possess something that will create more manners than they can ever dream of. This is 21th century my brothers and sisters manner don't longer fall from heaven , make use of the vital asset God gave you "Wisdom". God bless you !

yes God does give wealth , so your right up is correct and partially wrong, but on the whole it correct

non christians may get wealth because, God has set in motion certain laws which if obeyed,the outcome is success,but christians have an erroneous belief that manner will fall from heaven.not its not soo.we leave in a dispensation of laws, and all people irrespective of what ever creed or race if they obey the law must acquire wealth. what is this law? law of faith ie the law of belief, life is unto u as u believe.

The brain has over a billion cells but most people, especially the black African race uses less than 20% of their brain capacity. A typical African man would work to just feed himself, his family and his women, instead of multiplying and spreading his resources.
Say no to prosperity preachers, no rich man in the bible lack wisdom, so seek Gods wisdom, the working ability to make wealth. Wake up my African people. If you like pray from now till tomorrow , God will never send you a kobo, only His wisdom maketh rich.
