Nice one, u've not answered my question. Can u tell when we're xpectin d list?
Bro sincerly speaking nobody can give u a specific date of when the list will be out, cos there's alwz many factors in play. Buh personally My contact a Naval Education Officer told me to keep my fingers crosed that in 2 or 3wks time d result will be out. 2yrs ago a friend dat wrote told me it came out after 4wks, on d 4wk. Will simply advice we jst forget abt dates and kip d thread alive, cos dis same date issue is causing lots of trival issues on d NA thread, nd most of us r feedup of waiting, buh am sure d Navy is a more less political force, they work wif date. Bless.

By the time you read people's experiences with the DSSC and SSC, you will conclude that it is more political than merit-based. In last year's thread, it seems over 20 candidates appeared for the Navy dssc screening at Port Harcourt when there were 10 names released officially per state.

Guys, just relax, pray, focus on other things and don't give yourself hypertension...It's all in God's hands.

Having read this, my mind is really trembling. I pray to YOU Oh LOrd: Above only I shall be and not beneath... For my sake the king shall not sleep until my name is enlisted among the chosen. I keep praying this always. All hope depend on HIM. He is my last resort.

What complicates issues further is that folks without 2-1 also apply and that probably doubles the number of applications. Someone said he knew someone who got in with 2-2 and that 2-1 listed is a ploy to decrease the number of applications.

of course If u had 2.1 and u did not prove it by scoring higher than those with 2.2, then they wud have no other choice than to take those that did better than u that claimed u had 2.1

Ma Broda its ok, I applaud ur majurity. it pained me cos I gave a confirmed info. Talking about pay, ones u make d final list u r given every entitlement of an officer, @d Airforce last year they were paid N30k monthly in camp during dia 6months and d balance of their salaries for that 6months spent in camp was paid to dia salary account some wks afta dia POP.
We all shuld pray hard and aspire to get it, I tell there's a sure future in d millitary, apart from d job security, for d airforce single officers are given a room and parlour fully furnished self contain appartment wif latest home appliances, dish washers, flat screens, 2 split unit AC,microwave, fridge, leather sofa's, family size bed, just name it, u wuldnt spend ur moni on furnitures till weneva u start having kids and decides to move to d married officers quartes(3bedroom super appartmnt). To crown it up steady electricity. For naval flying wing, they send dem abroad ones every year for their refreshers course, likewise other professions as well, ur full dta will be paid to u in dollars everydai till u r home. That's a couple of millions in addition to ur basic salary run'n. Apart from the passion we shuld also knw d benefits attached to ginger us more in our pursuit. Bless.
For once someone made sense on this thread, confirmed it from a Naval officer....cant wait to get into the navy.... smiley

Da nxt stage is report'n to Portharcourt for Medicals, Fitness test and Panel interview also Interview based on what u studied in the University. @the Panel which is the finale stage uld be asked to give ur reasons for wanting to join the NN and other tactical and psycological qstns. Afta dis process which might last for abt 2wks, comes d final list and reporting to KD nda old site to start train'n hopefully end of sep wif Army SSC cadets.

@Kayode, thanks but am confused, is d quantitative reasoning in form of math and also by general knowledge do u mean current affairs? thanks i really appreciate
Re: Nigerian Navy (DSSC) 2013/2014 by 1forall: 12:43am On Jul 26, 2013
Quantitative Reasoning and General Knowledge are completely self explanatory so there should be no reason for confusion at all.

The poster has been kind enough to answer, if you're still unsure you can easily Google it.
