this advert is so funny and nice. its a good scam, i wish their network is actually as good as the advert. the saka guy is really talented. too bad etisalat let this happen! although, nigerians don't really value corporate image, but its like mtn fucking etisalat with a punch below the belt. |

I tried to check my mtn account balance just this morning and here's the reply i got "your mtn smooth talk balance is ..... Ngn; text 501050 to 4100 to set Saka's 'I don port' as your callertune for FREE! " For tha fact mtn is even offering the callertune for free, i guess there is more to this Saka's advert. |

Now I hate him don't wanna see him on my tv never again Err I wouldn't be too fast with that thought. Etisalat are quite notoriuos for not paying for the value they get. For one, most of the regulars they feature on their TVCs are paid per job and through agencies with no incentives. I guess the guy saw that MTN were ready to pay for value and he jumped ship. Brutality in certain aspects of Nigerian business is necessary I tell you. Etisalat had done their own subtle attack to with the MTN "goat" TVC and this is a reprisal attack, a sweet one. Personally loyalty is my virtue and I check it out in every associate. Moneys not naturally everything @ least that what I think. Etisalat made us to know how good saka was. If it were myself I would be eteernally grateful. There were some kids that took their time to insult me. The way it works that each operator provide their unique USSD codes for porting. So say for example if you use 08033333333 on MTN and you want to switch to Airtel..you just need to buy and register a new Airtel sim card, then put it on your cell phone and dial the Airtel provided migration code before making any call and you will be switched after sometime (usually 12-24 hrs). And subsequently, you will have the same 08033333333 as an airtel nos. So you have switch operators but your contacts can still reach you on your old nos. Ideally, it involves no negotiation whatsoever with your previous provider, the decision is entirely yours. Remember that the phone nos does not belong to the operators, but they are generated by the regulators (NCC). Hope this help. 1 Like |

alpha conde:what is loyalty in an endorsement deal?let me shock you a neighbour of mine who happens to be among the marketing department of etisalat when I told him about the advert of mtn he laughed and said that is the beauty of competition and he said that they will get saka back and he will do another advert for them,and I asked him that did saka had a contract with them he said yes but the contract was only based on per advert basis so not a contract for a particular years,so he gest paid per advert he does for them so saka has not violated any rules and also the etisalat peeps self are laughing because that was smart of him. 1 Like |
