Oh, really? Even so, so what?!

On May 9th 1946, the Second World War officially ended in Europe. Germany on that day had no infrastructure whatsoever (no electricity, no bridges, many roads destroyed, no running water etc... So, fifteen or twenty years later, Germany (German people!) managed to rebuild most if not all of it. What progress did Nigeria make since the end of colonialism? Some years ago, Nigeria was celebrating 50 years of independence, which is indeed a wonderful thing. But what tid Nigeria do with its freedom?

Here are 2 photos, both from Berlin. First one from 1946, second one just 15 years later... Not necessarily the same spot, but you get a message.

You will probably say, there was no money, and there was no qualified/educated people. Okay, let me agree with you on this one. There was no enough well educated, qualified people and there was no money. But hey, when was the oil discovered in Nigeria? In 1956, Oloibiri Oil Field was discovered, and it was the first official discovery of this kind. Let's say, you had a military regime spoiling everything. Nigeria became a democracy again how long ago? More than 15-20 years ago, years you are talking about. So, what did Nigerians do with all the oil money? Look at Dubai. Oil was discovered some 30 years ago. What was there before the oil? Few barely literate people, sand, goats, more sand, fishing, then even more sand. So, in just 30+ years, Dubai or Abu Dhabi became one of the most developed cities in the entire Middle East (except Israel).

Let's cut the c.r.a.p. here. The problem is the attitude of the people in general (not you, or me, or anybody else personally). And, by the way, knowledge was never so cheap as it is today. With a few clicks, or taps, you can get almost any information you need.

I was happy when I saw this thread and was going to commend the OP, but I was really disappointed when I saw that the OP was just on about something else.

Ileke if this is actually you, them am so disappointed. Don´t you think you are pushing this your tribalism stuff too far? I mean, its like everything you do now and you dedicate so much time to it.

You were happy when you saw the thread, then became unhappy when you realized I created it?

That's just that Nigerian mentality right there.

Really tho, I could care less. As long as you see how dirty Nigeria is.
