I make du'a for the unmarried brothers that may Allaah save us from having as spouse these category of women:
>A wife who does not deem it fit to freshen up herself for you personally, but always want to appear 'stunning & gorgeous' in the glare of strange men.

>Will always carry your children & nag you to attend all those baseless all-night assalatu 'prayers', but never makes it her priority to drive the Children to observe Solah or go to Madrasah.

>Will always make up excuses for your children when you scold them for not observing Solah.

>Will not restrict your children from aimless roaming about with peers of dubious character.

>Will teach your kids what lie to tell you when they inexplicably keep late nights.

>Will rather delay dinner to watch those evening cartoonish Mexican soap-operas on Galaxy TV (in Lagos).

>Whose Qur'an is MTV Base, her Fiqh E! Tv & her hadith Africa Magic.

>May Allaah purify the already married sisters from these traits.

>May Allaah not make us men who see those traits as normal.

By the way, do not underestimate cartoons. Many contain advanced concepts from various disciplines. In fact, I daresay that many people in Nigeria that watch cartoons do not understand what they watching- for good or bad.

I quite agree. We're so much used to being entertained only, that we eventually don't get the message being passed across. I'm not sure if it's peculiar to Naija alone though.
