But you've grown up, you've been educated and enlightened, all thanks to God and those who made it possible.

Now that you know better, I'll advice that you show people who you care about how much you care about them, show people who you love how much you love them, tell them without fear.
Situations might change, something can take them away from you, taking away your opportunity to show them how you feel, and that will only leave you with regrets.

When I was a kid, my dad will drop me off at school, squat down to be the same hight with me and ruffle my hair, pat me on the back, and will hand me my snacks and say goodbye he'd stand there and watch me jog off and dissappear in the midst of other kids in the assembly ground. I never knew what he was doing until I grew up.

Also back then I knew two kids whose parents would hug and practically escort to the class. We teased them both to tears, calling them daddy's pet and stuff, but we were very ignorant of what was happening.

When you eventually get your own kids, it doesn't matter how they feel about it, hug them and tell them you love them, you must not be overly rich before you can do that...with time they 'll get to understand.
Not only your kids, but everyone you care about.
