I'd say the simpsons paved the way while Family guy rules the airwave. For me, Family guy is more hilarious and relates better with our present society.

Family guy is too lowbrow,crude,rude,perverted,

mean-spirited,immature,overly disjointed,and absolutely

pointless . It gets a lot of cheap laughs from veiwers

but thier jokes are uncreative,unimaginative,unoriginal,utterly devoid

of wit,and lack of spirit.

Most of the show's writers are probably rejects from other shows

like THE SIMPSONS.

"Family Guy" is just  garbage.

First i was into the Simpsons , then Southpark now its Family guy, but Southparks the best for me. The monkey from the closet on family guy gets me everytime though and the peadophile old man

I love the two shows but Family Guy does it for me. I think King of the Hill is  underrated. That show beats The  Simpsons and FG IMHO.

At a time we were not allowed to watch the simpsons, so it never interest me. I AM ADDICTED TO FAMILY GUY. So addicted that I have all episodes on dvd. The black dude (Cleveland) is getting his own show this year.

The Simpsons is the best . But I can't stand Homer and his father. I feel like killing them sometimes. Grandpa Simpsons looks like he has an onion for a head.

Definitely THE SIMPSONS!!! Although their escapades are hilarious, they are a lot more realistic than the family guy. I mean, what's with the baby and the dog But what beats both is SOUTH PARK!
