Four days after declaration of state of emergency and commencement of military operation in three states of the north, Buhari is yet to speak on the issue.

We have heard from all the major political parties (PDP, ACN, ANPP, CPC, LP, APGA), some leaders of the opposition parties ( especially Tinubu, Ribadu), prominent lawyers (Femi Falana and co), labour leaders, public affair analysts, Nlanders, etc but one voice that is CONSPICUOUSLY missing is that of General Muhammadu Buhari.

One would have expected Buhari as an elderstates man and someone positioning himself to lead this country in future, to speak on this issue.

Unfortunately, so far, its deafening silence from Buhari. Does his silence imply rejection of SOE, support for SOE, nonchallance or CONFUSION? To avoid speculations, our dear general should speak up.

Why do you expect him to speak? You give the him too much credit.

Buhari really does not have time for this kind of thing. Politicking is for the unwashed masses like Tinubu and others. A fulani prince who is born to rule can't start bothering his head over such stuff.

Lol @ Buhari.

Bokoharam is Buhari. What else do you want him to say? To applaud the death of his pet project? You are in for a long wait

Please do not distract our Ayatollah Buhari Bin Laden while he is trying to fight a war.

With his ragtag army of virgin-seeking Mujahadeen fleeing in terror before the might of the Nigerian federal troops advance, Ayatollah Buhari must be getting worried about his own personal safety right about now, as the air strikes and artillery bombardments draw ever closer to his lair.

Ayatollah Buhari Bin Laden, if anybody you know is reading this, I urge you to die like the chimpanzee that you are, with a blazing gun in each hand. When the federal troops show up in your town, resist the temptation to flee, and attack the first platoon that you encounter. It is ONLY if you follow these instructions to the letter that your 72 in heaven will be reserved per agreement.

You are so jobless, this is the height of idleness.
I guess people dont have better things to do with their lives than
to make comments here and there.
When he speaks you talk, when he does not you still talk.
You are very confused.

@Jakumo, why are you so bitter about life?

Buhari has never spoken up on major national issues, he only speaks on election years i.e every four years. However with the ongoing decimation and annihilation of his rag tag 72 virgins seeking boko haram group by our Gallant army troops he will be forced to speak up. He is right now weighing his options and probably making arrangements on which country to escape to when the heat becomes unbearable for him.

What do you expect him to say? The man is praying for his boys to die instead of staying alive and reveal his identity as the chief financier of boko haram. He is in iraq now trying to buy bomb

It's a catch 2 2 for him. Condemn the SOE and face the kind of backlash Tinubu and lie muhammad did. Support the SOE and make Tinubu and Lie muhammad look acting clowns of Nigeria. He can't afford to play neutral here either. It shows how indecisive the man many Nigerians are trying entrust the affairs of this country is. It's an act of cowardice from the general who cries more than we kids.

Weighing his options ha ha ha. What if no country agrees to provide asylum for our Ayatollah ? Where will he run then?

Personally, I think that our Ayatollah Buhari Bin Laden should just go ahead and fight to the death against the first federal troop patrol that he encounters, rather than trying piteously to escape the battlefront like the snivelling, cowardly weasel he has always been.

But we didn't see insincere Nigga opening a thread about Goofyluck Jonadumb refusal to call his thugs to order over their heating up the polity? Why is Goofyluck silent while Dokubo keeps threatening ever Nigerian of non - Ijaw descent? Isn't that a greater threat to Nigeria than one rtd General speaking on an issue his party has already made its opinion on?

btw, Buhkari would speak if he wants to, that is the beauty of democracy, u can't force people to talk, though I understand goofyluck jonadumb and his coalition of barbarians seem to think democracy work by threat, murder, corruption, intimidation, and all the negative "ions" u can find! As for the many daft comments on this thread so far, I remain surprise that people like u would one be somebody's father or already someone's father! The disappointment in you guys capacity to reason runs deep . . .

Can you people stop politics with reason? Is Buhari the presidential spokesman? What are you begging for - a speech from the man that you and your cohorts can spin around against the man. When did silence stop being golden or are you saying because he is a threat to your clueless lots he must have something to say about your actions and inactions? Is it a constitutional right of Buhari to say something? Is his silence a sin against the state? What did Gowon, Obj and co say? Did your boss say anything official when an idiot dare the nation? When did Abati and Reno dignify Dokubo with a response? Tinubu, ACN, CPC has spoken why wait for the people's general? You are paid to demonize Buhari you are doing that job I know but one day one of us will win - not online but at the polling booth because that is reality

@Op,
There are two things Buhari is good at: 1, butchering unarmed colleagues in cold and 2, failing to win presidential elections!

To expect him to comment on critical national issues requiring wisdom and tact is asking for too much. My cat and an effigy stands better chance of articulating a reasonable position than Buhari on these sort of issues.

Make no mistake Op, Buhari taciturn mien is nothing but a mask to disguise his utter cluelessness on national issue. Why begrudge him?

His silence is a sin. For crying out loud the man has contested two presidential elections at the polls and at the courts! he should have something to say about a major army offensive that is ongoing at the heart of his support base. He should either condemn or support the move.
Does he care at all about the safety of his followers? Or is he contented in using them as pawns every election period in his desperate quest for power? It is either he is a clueless and confused man or an heartless bokoharam sponsor who is watching his terror empire being destroyed and whose's only option is to plot a way of escape.
