How does one assess GEJ's performance since he got into executive office in 2007 as VP, and as President since 2010.

Nigeria's problems did not start with GEJ, but the data suggests that he is not helping matters at all at all!!!

IF you have more data or evidence to add to assess the impact to the common man please do.

So far, the data above suggests the common man is unemployed, his children die at birth, and the ones that survive will be indebted to foreigners all over again....

Yet, Governors and the President are pulling teeth over stoooopid things!

GEJ's brethren (militants, sycophants and pals) are employed. Even when they don't work, there's security vote to share

Their children are born in Germany or the USA so they don't die (not of avoidable reasons, at least)

Each of them including windbags and thugs like Dokubo has billions in their accounts

By the way, he personally doesn't give a damn plus he doesn't lose sleep over criticism.

So whats this rubbish you wrote above? wink

grin grin grin Explicit proof of the failings of GEJ is not what folks want to discuss because it is too much for many here to digest. If it concerned the paranoia-led drivel of how "Yarobus" and "abokis" are plotting for GEJ to fail then your thread will already be on page ten.

GEJ is a monumental failure as far as the major headaches of Nigeria are concerned. Our major problems remain the same under him or worse as your submission generally supports.

The data above confirms what honest people have been saying consistently. Jonathan is a failure and only ethnic bigots and political jobbers think otherwise.

It is senseless to judge GEJ govt based on data that ended in 2011. GEJ came to power by mid-2010 (when the death of Yar Adua was officially announced). The remaining part of 2010 was devoted to politics and elections, apart from ongoing physical projects that were given a boost. GEJ cannot take responsibility for data on those indices gathered in 2011. I mean, this is just common sense.

Show us data for 2012, and 2013 up till 2015 (when ready). For those years, GEJ can take 50% of the blame, IF they are in the negative. The remaining 50% of the BLAME will go to the governors since the state governors receive 50% of federation allocation (for the states and local govt in joint account).

In fact, if anything, it is those governors (Fashola and co) who have been in power since 2007 that should take atleast 50% of the BLAME (commensurate with 50% of the federation funds that goes to the states and local govt) for data between 2008 and 2011. In case you dont know, health and job creation are JOINT responsibilities of states, federal and local govt. The debt burden is NOT that of federal govt alone, it encompassess state and federal govt debt (including that taken by Fashola to finance the UNENDING construction of the Lagos light rail).

Mischievous OP and fans . .. Your thread is already dead on arrival cos your statistics is outdated.

why use an old stats specifically 2 yrs old to arrive at your faulty inference, considering his tenure is expected to elapse in 2 years time. . .

Even folks supported your mischievous charade here . . .

skyfall: The data above confirms what honest people have been saying consistently. Jonathan is a failure and only ethnic bigots and political jobbers think otherwise.

What makes it worse is that men/women of ideas and innovative thinkers will host a totally dismissive attitude towards the GEJ government because they see how, undoubtedly, it is one not seeking solutions and even makes a vengeful show of rejecting them. What is tragic and most condemnable about the GEJ government is that it operate like a looting gang not at all interested in the many innovative and solution-driven recommendations it has received from various sources to include numerous committees it has set up and funded expensively. For me, that is singularly the most damning indictment of how GEJ is a failure.

It is one thing to receive brilliant recommendations and everyone can see you fail trying to implement them.

It is another thing entirely for citizens to see the GEJ government receive such recommendations, capable of drastically transforming how Nigeria does thing for the better, only for them to see those urgent directives shoved into the paper shredder with disdain. To unemotional and balanced folks, such antics are the actions of those who are a big part of the problem and can only maintain our woes or worsen them.

Produce your data and let's see!

You can tell where a man is heading from where he started his journey, and pointed his face to.

Produce 2012 and 2013 data from a reliable source supporting your rant or accept that GEj is an abject failure. Experiences from 2012 and 2013 (so far) suggests that things are even much worse!

Which is the annoying thing...

If GEj was simply benign and left things as he saw it, we can say "no better no worse"

But the clueless clown is making things very much worse in a period of immense opportunities for Africa !

All i see here is a face saving exercise, The onus is on you to produce requisite data to back up your thread title . . .

Your haste at defaulting at the most simplest task of data representation in consonance with time/period is sad . . .

fallacious criticism won't do you any good . . .

@Jmaine

Your man is a failure and your comments demonstrate a complete lack of understanding, unawareness of the availability of precedent and current year data and a febrile attempt to distract from the issue at hand. That you will post the tripe you posted above is stunning but consistent with the cretinous behaviour of GEJ's lackeys!

The key indicators of economic development all point to a pathetic showing for GEJ.

You are free to accept that GEJ is failure based on this or you can take a walk as far as I'm concerned.

Mr Voodoo Man , I don't have issues with folks criticizing. But if you must criticize, you have to make sure your criticism follows the norm of basic scientific and statistical inference which is:

A) Your inference must adequately cover the field of your subject . . Imagine you unearthing a 2011 data to arrive at your warped deductions for year 2013 and possible 2015 .

Until you furnish a requisite data to match the present times, then folks might take you a bit serious . .

As at now, your thread falls below expectations for factual discussions which is a sad situation. .. . .

Believe me, you are more correct than you think given what I see on the ground through my travels within Africa. GEJ is simply a very crude leader promoted far above his station. He is the sort no longer entertained by serious African Nations.

He is not even averagely effective and we see the fallout of this with how retrogressive and archaic practices, dismissed in seconds if Mr.President so desires, continue to typify how we do things.

Observers with the requisite clarity of thought to see what matter will note that GEJ's flagrant inactions, unnatural and unbelievably illogical as they may seem, are very much a deliberate effort to abet a patronage system benefiting a small minority while Nigeria at large remains underdeveloped. Tragic.

Oil, the key FX earner is expected to come down in price and value in the future as USA becomes energy independent. So this time period is crucial as development lost means more armies of unemployed youths, more kidnappers, more disadvantaged men and women who can be swayed by one clown or the other....

Investors are bypassing Nigeria to invest in Ghana, Kenya, Uganda and elsewhere....

The millennium development goals nko, another set of development indicators and targets that we are projected to completely miss...

When people are facing armed robbers or collecting blows from illiterate policemen or wondering why that woman and child died during childbirth, they should place that blame squarely on the head of he that sought leadership but is failing to deliver!

This sums up my ONLY problem as at NOW!!!!!!!! I refuse to say its northerners or my people or whatever! Why are the entire resources of the country at your beck and call if not to better it? Is it me or other posters here that should deploy state resources for the betterment of the country?

Just look at how his personal rating SOARED in under 48 hours over declaring the State of Emergency - what if this had been done 18 months back rather than traveling all over the world and smiling in photographs?

With the SoE (which may not be perfect but at least indicates a desire to do something), I hope he'll realize what people want from him and wake up
