2015: Ex-ogun Gov, OGD, Visits Dimeji Bankole’s Father by aproko247: 11:15pm On Jun 02, 2013
The 2015 general elections in Nigeria is gradually gathering momentum. Various political permutations have already started, while those nursing various political ambitions have started putting in place structures to achieve their goals.

In Ogun State, the race to take over the Oke-Mosan State Government House has started.

Information available to Aproko247 has it that some politicians in the state have started having sleepless nights because of the moves being made by some political bigwigs in the state.

Recently, the erstwhile governor of the state, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, OGD, paid a visit to Chief Alani Bankole, the father of ex-Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji, at his Abeokuta residence in the state capital.

The visit has already raised nerves within the opposition camps in the state. Details of the meeting was not disclosed as it was held behind closed-door.

However, a source informed Aproko247 that the meeting was to plan ahead 2015 elections in the state. We gathered that OGD is planning a comeback to the political scene in the state and he’s wooing the ‘lords’ of Ogun politics to his side in order to achieve his dream.

Recall that OGD left the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, prior to the 2011 elections and went ahead to form his political party. He took the step after he was at loggerheads with former President Olusegun Obasanjo, who supported Chief Olurin in the gubernatorial contest in the state.

Both parties lost the seat to the incumbent governor of the state, Ibikunle Amosun of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN.
