Sec5: He did not even wait till the designated date of the general resignation of the PDP Nwc

He had hinted, in April, he was fed and wanted out anyway. If you are correct then this is no surprise at all.

I am ready to resign as PDP spokesman – Olisa Metuh

By Wale Odunsi on April 5, 2013

The National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh, appears to have come to the reality that the huge task of managing “Africa’s largest party” is no easy job, as he declared on Thursday that he was ready to leave the position.

In a chat with reporters, Metuh stated that although he had always done well in his previous assignments, the present one was different.

The spokesman who is usually kept on his toes by the ever-charging duo of Lai Mohammed and Rotimi Fashakin (spokesmen of Action Congress of Nigeria and Congress for Progressive Change), blamed his predicament on reporters covering the PDP.

He accused them of refusing to cooperate with him in his role, adding that rather than go down, he would resign and return to either law or estate management.

In his words,“I am ready to leave this job and go and practice law or estate management, or even ask the party to make me Deputy national secretary or even Deputy woman leader. Please help me stop this problem,” he pleaded.

A reporter immediately fired back, informing the embattled PDP image-maker that he was always in the habit of being rude to reporters.

Most of the newsmen in attendance nodded in affirmation.

Metuh had on Wednesday met with Bureau heads in Abuja to assist him shut down stories perceived as unfavourable to his party.

He assumed office in March 2012 and is scheduled to meet with editors on Friday evening in Lagos

To be honest, working for the PDP cannot be easy because of how disunited, divisive, individualistic and 'hungrily' ambitious its members are. This is a Party that changes representatives (National Chairman, spokesman, BOT Chairman et al) more frequently than is healthy and totally at the whim of the ambitions of certain influential individuals - like whoever becomes President.

There is no semblance of institutional sanctity at any level within the PDP. Everything the Party does just reveals raw greed, lack of decorum and Machiavellian desperation. The PDP is a disgrace to be honest.

This is no news again. Gbawe and co should stop misinforming people. Everybody is aware and expected it. INEC affirmed earlier on that the manner 9 of them emerge candidates by affirmative method is not acceptable. So they have to resign first and then come back through the acceptable procedure.

Turkur cannot resign because he was not affected by the INEC disqualification

It would appear so. His job cannot be easy because it entails Metuh lying 80% of the time.

It was agreed yesterday that 9 PDP W members will resign by today or tomorrow,so it is expected but the chairman would not resign as earlier canvassed by some section of the media.

Jonthan is not politically savvy. The same thing that happened during the NGF election is taking place here. What is going on is tha; the Northern Governors have told Jonathan that they have problem with Tukur. They've asked he be removed. Tukur is playing out Jonthan's script by fighting Jonathan's perceived enemies but Jonthan is about to throw him under the bus.

The Northern Governors want their own man to lead the party and eventually use the newly appointed Chairman to their advantage in 2015. Jonthan is trying to dance to the Northern Governors' tune and it will back fire on him next year. If you read the interviews of Kwakwanso , Wamako and Lamido in the last one week, their requests have been for Jonathan to kick out Tukur and reconcille with Amaechi. The whole strategy is to guage how resolute or strong Jonathan is. Once Jonathan bows to their demands; they will be smelling blood in the water. The Northern Governors are playing well planned script. It takes a smart mind to decode what is going on.

At the end, Jonathan will be "janglized" the same way they did with Akpabio and Jang.

Don't mind these ACN asss lickers who are becoming more interested in PDP affairs than PDP members themselves.

Ole! Keep writing out of point and beating about the bush. For your information, Metuh will be back. It was mutually agreed that the party does as INEC directed so as not to undermine INEC

You can't even create a distinct user ID for yourself. Keep copying "Sincere 9gerian".

Politics is not for primary school level politicians like Jonaathan. You are not to smart to see the writings on the wall. Metuh is not coming back to PDP. He has decided to go back to law practice or real estate management. Have you read his communique?
