This comparison is good but not complete,The picture in Akwa Ibom show that of some selected LGA while that of Lagos was not specific , but i would have loved the Water system for villages in EPE or Badagry or Ikorodu shown
A brief about lagos and Akwa Ibom is below

Lagos is 149 years old while Akwa Ibom is Just 26 years old the developmen Gap between the two states is a whopping 123 years old

Lagos was formally annexed as the British Lagos Colony in 1861 This had the dual effect of crushing the slave trade and establishing British control over palm and other trades.[12] The remainder of modern-day Nigeria was seized in 1887, and when the Colony and Protectorate of Nigeria was established in 1914, Lagos was declared its capital, continuing as such after the country's independence from Britain in 1960. Along with migrants from all over Nigeria and other West African nations were the returnee ex-slaves known as Creoles, who came from Freetown, Sierra Leone, Brazil and the West Indies to Lagos. The Creoles contributed to Lagos' modernization and their knowledge of Portuguese architecture can still be seen from the architecture on Lagos Island

Akwa Ibom is one of Nigeria’s 36 states with a population of over 5 million people and more than 10 million people in diaspora
It was created in 1987 from the former Cross River State
and is currently the highest oil and gas producing state in the country. The state’s capital is Uyo with over 500,000 inhabitants . Akwa Ibom has an airport (Akwa Ibom International Airport) and two major sea ports on the Atlantic Ocean with a proposed construction of a world class seaport Ibaka Seaport at Oron. Along with English, the main spoken languages are Ibibio, Annang, Eket, and Oron languages

Lagos was for most part of the previous century the only capital of Nigeria while for Most part of the previous century Akwa Ibom only existed as some cluster of LGAs.

That aside comparing lagos with other cities that as at 1861 or there about became colonies of Britain like Singapore
The British obtained sovereignty over the island in 1824 and Singapore became one of the British Straits Settlements in 1826
and Hong Kong Hong Kong became a colony of the British Empire after the First Opium War (1839–42)

This show Lagos as a huge disappointment and disgrace to mankind considering the lack luster performance , stunted growth and development when compared to cities of its age , despite assuming the position of the Maritime Capital of Nigeria, the Aviation Capital of Nigeria, coveting the oil company headquarters and he banking industry headquarters.

Lagos is an eyesore compared to cities of its age around the world , while i very much doubt Lagos can be comparable to Akwa Ibom had the 2 states been created the same time and had the same opportunities as commercial capitals
