world number 3 Roger Federer lost his second round match against world number 116 Sergiy Stakhovsky 7-6 6-7 5-7 6-7 ending 36 consecutive grand slam qualification for Federer, this means Federer will be out of top four, the last time he did was back in 2003 Federer has not lost before the quarterfinals at Wimbledon since 2002 - this is his earliest loss at a Grand Slam for a decade. |
