@kaycee7, you have tried oh, everyone one is entitled to their own opinion, so if they choose to bury their heads in the sand and say its demonic, na them sabi. Most of the people here arguing , I doubt they've watched the cartoon before. I'll reiterate what I've said, Ben 10 isn't demonic !!!! one ben is a regular kid and has no powers without his omnitrix, he only kills bad guys and fights for his family and friends !! watch the cartoon before spewing... |

Why is it dat everything always related to demons and the devil in Nigerian christian world? Same thing was said abt the computer; when it first came; today same christians are using it. They didnt read and they fail examination; its d devil They didnt succeed for job interview due poor preparation; its d ancestoral demon. Struggling in business or their jobs due to poor capacity development; its d witches and wizards. I can now see why western christians dont fast to buy a brand new car but a Nigerian christian will fast and go for several night vigil yet he cant buy a brand new car but a tokunbo car... The important things taught in violent cartoons of the past age like Voltron, Super Ted, ThunderSub and rest are no longer evident. Things like honour, honesty, team work, chilvary etc are missing from cartoons like Ben 10 all it seems to say is I can do it all alone f..k y'all. I won't want my kids to watch it. |

I watch Ben 10 with my four year old son everyday and am yet to see anything wrong with it. Can you compare the contents, language and scenes of Ben 10 with cartoons like Mandy and Grim, Courage the cowardly dog or even Simpsons?. My son, on his own accord, doesn't even watch those. But Ben 10.... he loves it with passion. Why do we keep attaching undue sentiments to harmless things. Ben 10 quarrels with Gwen all the time and ALL KIDS do that, put two kids together for one day and you will settle quarrels all day, thus qaurrels between these two cousins is just normal for any kid(s) even at that, the two will go to any length to protect each other from harm. Infact I have never heard real insults in Ben 10, only words like 'DWEEB or DUFOS' - whatever those mean. Gwen does all the talking and Ben just listens sometimes more like taking instructions from her and/or just playing pranks on her Also note that Ben 10 has never killed any human, the most he'll do is immobilize them till the police come to arrest them but the evil aliens are destroyed and those one look more like machines and squids. Most of the people talking here watched Voltron and I believe Voltron contained more freaky stuff than Ben 10. Stuff like Hagar the witch, King Zarcon, Prince Lotor to mention a few. All those shouting, just sit down and watch the Ben 10 stuff and you will find out your fears are unfounded 2 Likes |

Ben works hand in hand with gwen and kevin.kevin,who is potrayed as thief and lair,is shown to be trying to change his ways and thats a lesson that crime never pays. Ben sometimes goes on missions on his own but when he fails, he comes back and meets his granddad and gwen,apologizing and they all go togeda to save the day(wid ben doing most of it).that shows humilty and team work. And when gwen and ben quarrel too much,dia granddad comes in and tells them to stop,twlling them to be at peace wid each other nd protect each other,which they do. Thats promoting family values if u ask me. The alien aspect. Those aliens in his omnitrix are super heroes from different parts of the universe who protected people and upheld justice. So ben is simply using them to protect earth from an invasion. HE DOESNT kill human beings bt protects them. Any kid can tell you this. And for the negative aspects. Thats why you are parents. Guardians. you guide your kids. They ask questions. They try to understand what they see. Its up to you ,the parent to guide them. Tell them what is wrong and right. @all I will never encourage anyone to allow children to watch cartoons on Cartoon Network channel, I really do not understand what children gain except entertaining. I allow my child to watch cartoons like Diego,Dora Dora in the morning while he prepares to go to school.these two is entertaining and educative even for adults. |
