Great Nigerian Students!!! We just have to admit the fact dat dis strike is real, it has commence already, all we can do is to pray dat govt sud answer dem so dat we can continue our programme.

The announcement was communicated to us this morning on all campuses. Federal government failed to honour 2009 agreement among others.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities has resumed the strike it suspended in January 2011following alleged failure bythe Federal Government toimplement the agreementit reached with the public universities lecturers.
ASUU National President, Dr. Nasir Isa, said the action though painful would be total, comprehensive and last for as long as the Federal Government implement the details of the Memorandum of Understanding both parties signed in 2011.

ASUU is on strike, dr nasir annouced it today, its on vanguard online. Nupeng is also commencing a 3day warnin strike, meanin there wud b fuel scarcity for d next 3+x days. Hence no goin home because of high cost of transportation so stay put in ur room nd look at d ceiling or go into sch for night class nd jack away ur frustration

Whilst I do not support the break in educstion of students,this lecturers work under the most horrendous of conditions
A friend doing his part time MSc in UNILAG had lectures stopped in the evenings over the past 3 weeks when NEPA struck because the generators lacked fuel for the lectures to continue
The strike is even about agreements which the government SIGNED and have now reneged upon
Is it coincidental that polytechnics are on strike at this present time too

Rather his take was that half bread is better than none
