We once had vision 2010 and nothing positive happened. Forget about vision 2020 or vision 2030.

How can the blind have vision? The leadership of this country is blind both physically and spiritually, so i cannot take any vision of theirs seriously. All their so-called projections and visions are meant to keep us hoping and believing while they plunder the resources that should make the vision a reality.

Vision 20-2020 proposed that Nigeria would be among the top 20 largest economies in the world by 2020. Actually, we're getting there. We currently occupy 39th position.

By 2015 we ought to surpass South Africa to become the largest economy in Africa. Should that happen, Nigeria would be in top 30 position or higher as SA currently occupy the 28th position.

So I believe we would get there by 2020.

Best economy isn't the same as largets economy. Vision 2020 is to be amongst the best not largest 20. Nigeria is 39th largest economy with 162m people and 7th most populous nation while SA is 28th with 45m people. Who is at lose here? Nigeria offcourse.
Best economies are rated according to ease of doing business in the country not size of economy, and by that ranking Nigeria is 131 out of 185 countries. Too bad! So you see where we need vision 2020? Moving from 131 to 20 out of 185 not from 39 to 20. This is is the real challenge.
It is possible to make such quantum leap but a semi-revolution is needed. Power and energy must be addressed properly then the economy will tip. Tipping, thats what we need. Tick-tuck...time is running.
