Is like this whole argument is coming down to 'since the almighty US President does not wear Military uniform so Nigerian President should not'.
You may not know other countries that are watching quietly and say 'ok, since the Nigerian President wears a military uniform then let's try it as well.'
We can pioneer something, let's not wait till we see others do it first.

This discordant Symphony007 seems so opinionated anti Jonathan that he can't even LEARN WHAT HE DOESN'T KNOW.

Symphony007: We are very opinionated people so no matter how much arguement is made, we will never change each other's view, so i belive and will continue to belive that it is a disgrace for a civilian who gained his commander in chief title by election or appiontment to wear uniform meant for men who who gave their today for their country's tomorrow. And yes according to sen. Storm thurman, any country that does that is a banana republic, including canda. Holla!!

Did you just label Canada a banana republic?........wow.....just..wow...house, I officially wish to nominate the quoted post for the DUMBARSE AWARD FOR THE WEEK. Thank you..

There's nothing unusual in President Jonathan wearing a military uniform. As we copied so much from the British where King Edward VII his son and 2 grandsons wore uniforms of 5 star rank, as Commander in Chief the President can wear the uniform of Field Marshal/Admiral of the Fleet/Marshal of the Nigerian Air Force. Late President Azikiwe (as Governor General) wore a Field Marshal's uniform the day he was sworn in as Governor General in 1960 (the video can be found on YouTube) and President Shagari once wore the uniform of Marshal of the NAF.
