Prof Wole Soyinka virtuperation is hasty and unresearched. Prof Wole Soyinka was hitherto known as one of the very few who are not garbed in primordial sentiments, especially from the part of the country he comes from. He used to be the concience of the nation. Have we been mistaking all along? Or is senility setting in? The Wole Soyinka I know hitherto will not draw conclusions until he is well researched. Parliamentalians squable and fights the world over. It is a common occurance amongst politicians the world over. How then could GET or PEJ would have caused the imbroglio in Rivers State. For the obvious fact that GEJ and Amaechi have political differences does not mean he or the wife would go to such an extent to cause problems in the State. All these GEJ haters, when will you people be tired and allow the man to do the work God sent him?

I Still maintain that PEJ has no moral justification to talk back at the Prof. Her only portfolio is being the wife of the president. Soyinka has achieved a lot and demands respect. He is one of our national icons and a gift to this nation. He commands more respect outside the shores of this country than PEJ can ever get so she should be the one to zip it... IMO

Haven listened to arguments and counter arguments from counsel and representatives from both parties to the case on ground, I hereby give my verdict.

I have therefore come to this conclusion. That PEJ is guilty of gross misconduct in her verbal attack on the person of Prof WS. And therefore sentenced to a 25 year intensive English language course at a reputable university abroad.

The 40 paid laptops are to have their laptops seized and Internet disconnected for 5 years, as well as tender an unreserved apology to WS on his 79th birthday.

It takes only a fool, not to understand the issues here in Rivers State...Soyinka is a well respected elder, a senior citizen of this country. He should respect the office of the presidency, there was no eviable trace of GEJ's involvement in the crises...I think he deserves to be cautioned.People shuld learn how to respect others...Soyinka is wrong on this.
