My fellow Nairalanders a very good friend of mine has been talking about going back home to work, he's been working in IT for the past 3 years and after a visit to Naija he decided to go and test the waters there

What tips could you give him and what is the best way for him to go about it as he has been away for a while but still hasn't lost the Nigerian in him.

simple he should go online and browse, there are a lot of good IT firms in nigeria that he can work with, the economy has really opened up and he can take advantage of that in briging in new ideas. but if he is thinking of starting out his, well he has a lot of work to do in terms of feasibility studiessssss, registrations and all that, but note if he is good he is good and nothing would stop him even if he is thinking of setting up.

love that last line,
hasnt lost the nigerian in him wink

If he is good as you say, then Antal International Network can help.
Its an international executive search firm that specialises in mid-senior management level placements. (www.antal.com)
For placements in Nigeria, he can forward his resume to ypopoola@antal.com
cheers.

well truthfully most of these firms would not display vacancies online a few might, the best would be for him to establish a contact here to drop it off for him when he sends it to such a person,by such a way it would get reviewed faster and his chances better.
all d best
