And we all, with unveiled faces reflecting the glory of the Lord, are being transformed 2 Corinthians 3:18 NET

The preceeding devotionals on this topic, laid emphasis on the veil covering the eyes of those who practice and are under the law. It's important that this concept is clearly understood, otherwise this could prevent believers from experiencing divine transformation. In the church today, a lot of performance based Christianity is seen; people who have an outward behavioural modification, but no real transformation from God's grace working in them, as they behold Jesus.

Many try to gain their right standing with God, through the works of the law. But the righteousness of God can only be gotten through faith. Abraham believed God and it was imputed to him as righteousness. It is by faith alone, not by trying to obey the rules and 10 commandments that came with the law. When a believer continually tries to get right with God through rule keeping, it breeds guilt, condemnation and ultimately depression. The law always produces wrath, a sense of punishment and judgment (Romans 4:15).

The Law on its own is not bad, but when it is introduced into the life of a believer, it stirs up sin (Romans 7:7). Wonder why you struggle so much with sin? And out of frustration, you conclude that "the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak"(Matthew 26:41). But there is a better way, beloved; where sin no longer has dominion over you, and this is in the new covenant(Romans 6:14). Grace is the antidote to sin; come under the grace of God through believing and have a conscience that is at peace with Him (Romans 5:1).
