National Assembly Approves N4.9 Trillion In 2013 Budget Amendment by Nobody: 6:15am On Jul 26, 2013
The National Assembly on Thursday pa approved a total of N4, 987, 220,425,601 in the amendment requested by President Jonathan.

Despite the differences between the executive and legislature over the amendment, the Senate and the House of Representatives swiftly considered and passed the bill.

The amount captured in the amendment is almost the same with the earlier figure approved by the lawmakers in the original budget.

The total budget passed by the Senate was N4.987 trillion, out of which N388 billion was for statutory transfers, N591 billion for debt service, N2.415 trillion for recurrent (non-debt) expenditure, while the balance of N1.591 trillion was earmarked for contribution to the development fund for capital expenditure for the year ending on the 31 December, 2013.
Presidential liaison officer to the National Assembly, Joy Emordi described the passage of the bill as the triumph of constructive dialogue between the presidency and the lawmakers

Its still a bit high why should u rejoice.... Capital expenditure is still very low about 25percent of the total budget.. How can we now grow, providing jobs, construct roads?..... As an economist To increase investment u have to reduce current consumption and increase savings otherwise nothing will be left for investment

Ahhhh! Thank God..

Isn't it rather too late? End of July the 7th month of 12 months..

Better late than never sha..

Remain implementation of budget..

The difference between Policy planning and policy implementation in Nigeria is Corruption..

Good policy plans but bad Implementations..

Let them steal all they want and atleast crumbs get to the common man..

I'm a Nigerian and there is nothing I can do about it..

Nigeria my Pride.
Nigeria my Country.
Nigeria my Home.

Nigeria must be great..

My brother.. I am dreaming with you. However we must wake up from our dreams and live the Nigerian dream.. There is a Dream called Nigeria just like we have the American Dream.. In America, people live their dreams but in Nigeria PHCN can never make ur dreams come true..

Well, I'l say this.. It doesn't require discipline to Dream, but it requires a lot of Discipline to make a Dream come true..

I'm dreaming with you ooo my brother..

Nigeria's only Problem is the "BUSINESS AS USUAL SYNDROM". I thought a President that had No shoes would break the jink but unfortunately he is trapped in that same Dogma..

Business as usual..
