Is there any case where any of the millions of Igbo with one legitimate business or the other in Lagos is involved in the recent movement? Igbos find Lagos a safe haven for their legitimate productive activities and the present government has sustained good and cordial efforts to ensure this prevails. We want to state that Lagos hosts the largest population of Igbo in any single state outside Igboland, how is it that the movement of about 60 Igbo miscreants to their home state has now become an issue political and ethnic reapers want to cash in to destroy this priceless relationship?

Lagos ACN has just confirmed what Igbos already know. So now let's here Nairaland ACN deny the bolded portion

Something good has finally come out of the deportation of people from Lagos. The threat by Igbos have forced ACN to begin to tell the truth. Next census must have ethnic data or no census at all.

strangest: Take your tribalistic party somewhere else... Fashola have actually showed the IGBO men his true colour... Hope he is getting ready to run for the Presidential mandate... APC/ ACN is going down for sure cos of this silly and lame action by Fashola, how do you unite people by dropping them in the middle of upper iweka by 3am? Which family were they united with?... Fashola has shown his hatred for IGBO as a whole by this mere action and i won't be surprised if same is extended to Christians tomorrow... Fashola should take Sharia rule to his family...

You got it totally wrong, Fashola is a moderate and not a jihadist. He just banned hijab in public some few months ago, his wife and kids are christians. So how can he be a jihadist?

They had to find this miserable outcast called Joe Igbokwe to do their dirty job for them. A nincompoop exiled from his community for being deficient in good character and integrity. . . Only for him to seek refuge among fellow greasy and untruthful characters in the discredited ACN.

In all his ranting, he did NOT address the ONLY issue at stake: The constitutionality and legality of the action. His mendacious circumlocution - laced with meaningless allusions and explanations - reveals the shameful character of this outcast and his employers in Lagos. Even a monster like Hitler had 'valid' justifications for launching genocide against Jews. Justifications can be concocted for ANY criminal and vile action, so this maggot should spare us bullshyte and address the central question: Is it LEGAL and CONSTITUTIONAL to deport Nigerians -against their will - from one part of the country to another, and to a part of their country that is not even their home state, for that matter?. The more these fools evade this question and spew inanities in the name of justification, the more I am forced to believe that certain people do deserve to be butchered in cold blood like the animals they are, along with their entire familes - justifiably so.

A very silly reaction from an insane sycophant, what kind of rehabilitation could be done without first taking clear security threats "the agboro's" off the streets before shifting attention to those in search of genuine means of livelihood. Why are there unemployment? Tell me that country or state in the world with zero unemployment index?

Enough of this madness please, meanwhile, Lagos is a product of national investment not as if it was their intellectual superiority.

The lazy vultures know that, but they are too dishonest to admit it. The Lagos they are doing shakara with is ENTIRELY a product of national investment like you rightly pointed out, having long been Nigeria's FEDERAL CAPITAL until as recently as the early 1990s. This explains why the rest of the south-west (with the exception of Ondo State, lol) are largely relics of a lost age, reminiscent of pre-industrial agrarian societies. That's why they all want to claim Lagos as their birthright.

Igbo people are making the same developmental strides in Abuja, being the current FCT, with a significant number of real estate and industrial/commercial concerns owned by Igbo people. Possibly, sometime in the future, some cattle-rearers would emerge from the dusty plains of Suleja and the wilderness of Keffi to claim Abuja as their birthright and ask Igbo people there to go back to their village. Such is the madness and cruel joke called Nigeria.

Any foreigner going through one of those topics will have no other choice but to notice how broken this so-called 'Giant of Africa' really is.

dayokanu: And let them use their 45% power to control the politics. Once you control the politics No one would reunite you with your families in Ebonyi

If Ibos are 45% what percentage are Deltans, Calabar, Middle Belt and hausas Never mind Yorubas

They simply tell mumus what they want to hear and they swallow it
it means ibos are more populated than yorubas in lagos. Delusion of the highest order in my compound we have 26 yoruba, r ibos and that will likely be the same for 80% of buildings in lagos. Maybe fashola, tinubu and oba of lagos are also ibos

There are more Ndjibos anywhere in the SW than there are Yorubas in the SE.

Ibadan is more developed and populated than anywhere in the East.

Only Lagos Island, Ikoyi, VI and Yaba made up the old FCT. Other parts were part of the old Western region until 1967.

We also want the public to note that the Lagos State government was involved in similar deal with the Akwa Ibom State government when some indigent Lagosians were moved back from Akwa Ibom State to Lagos. We want Nigerians to note that such movements are common with nearly all states in Nigeria and is becoming an issue just because selfish politicians and ethnic reapers who were prominent in the despoliation of the country see it as new and worth cashing in on.”

just at the back of alaba international market there exists two communities (ilufe and mosafejo) dominated by igbos infact all beautiful houses built by igbo, even when they ar under ojo lga the yorubas have no say, they tried to introduce oro festival but the igbos rejected to the xtent it nearly turned violent, so today u cant see any of the yoruba things happening there, fashola visited the comminity to campaingn for second term but all his promises were lies till this day because its the communities that build infrastructures for themselves, there's a retard bale but igbos dont give a damn about him, even when he walks ppl hardly notice him, omoniles dont have a say cos they have sold all their family lands even the swamps, most yoruba depend on the igbos for their livelyhood, eleran, carpenters, masons, painters etc, the real omoniles are children of igbo landlords who make money collecting royalties from importers who bring in their containers into the communities to their warehouses or a passage into the market...just to let the yoruba guys on this forum understand that igbos have big stake in lagos state!!

Where is Wole soyinka and Falana on this? Keyamo? Where are the Self styled Progressives? Where are the so called Vanguard of democracy?
Do they only respond when the issue fits their fancy or when it agrees with their politics? I supported them when they said that 5 is not > 27 and 16 not > 19.

They seem to be silent on the plights of nigerians that are deported in their own country!

What an abuse of right of a citizen in his own country and yet no outcry from those who pretend to be protectors of our rights as citizen.

Its times like this that i miss our countrys greatest human right advocate. the peoples lawyer the great Chief Gani Fawehinmi. He would have stood up to fight by the side of the people. Adieu chief! for the pretenders who who claimed to have inherited your mantle are ethnically, tribal and politically biased and have let the country down.

why do you keep posting this lie.you can lie against the akwa ibom people cos there are not large enough in number to fight back? Now you have chosen the wrong tribe to deport as the igbos have the number and resources to fight back.
no amount of lies or shifting blame will make what's wrong right.

idumuose: ACN as a party has 'LIES and falacy' inscribed in their DNA.
It is not true that igbos constitute 'over 45% of the total
population of lagos.
As a matter of fact the igbos constitute more than 50% of
lagos population.Go to Ajao estate,Festac,amuwo odofin,okoko,
Oshodi,mushin,isolo,okota.These few places are undisputably
controlled by the igbos. Is it a coincidence that these places
mentioned have very poor access roads in lagos?
They are already planning to rig elections that is why they are
trying to reduce the actual number of igbo residents in Lagos.
They know they have incurred the wrath of the igbos who have the
Highest voting population in lagos.Any injustice metted out to
one igbo is a vote against APC.Did PDP not trounce ACN during the
last presidential election with a very wide margin?
A word is enough for the wise.
Egbe belu ugo belu nke ekweghi ibe ya ebela....NKU KWA YA!!

I pity the Ibo man in Lagos. They may end up loosing more than they loose before the war. Lagos is no loger a place for all. The earlier they look back and see that they can do somethings at home the better for them

They will have to step on some toes in their quest to sanitize Lagos and make it look like a mega city. You will all agree with me that hawkers littering every nook and cranny of the state will not make Lagos look like a mega city.

Walk into any blue chip company (telecoms, banks etc) in Lagos and you will find more than 50% Yorubas

They control six out of seven different sectors dominate economic activities in Lagos State, led by manufacturing which, interestingly, contributes 29.60 percent of the state’s GDP figures. Road transport follows closely contributing an average of 26.47 percent of economic activities in the state. Other sectors in order of dominance include building and construction (19.60 percent); wholesale and retail (8.39 percent); telecommunications (3.71 percent); financial institutions (3.51 percent); and real estate (2.01 percent). The seven sectors account for 93.39 percent of economic activities in the state.

If Igbos were up to 45%, there would have at least been an Igbo mayor now. At the very least
